My brother just got a set of these and they are very cool, I really liked using them! I think they are well worth the money, as you would pay that much or more for a full set of dumbbells.
I saw them at a fitness convention and they looked like they would get in the way during one arm rows, triceps kickbacks, etc. I thought I would be rubbing my sides with them. Have you noticed this?
Andrea, they are a bit longer than regular dumbbells, but the only exercise I notice is when doing Chest flies with the ends of the dumbbells facing each other that I don't get the full range of motion. Not sure this makes sense...x( But for the other exercises you mentioned the Select Tech Dumbbells don't bother me at all......Carole
Thanks! That makes perfect sense. Do you find you use them exclusively? Or, do you still pull out your other dumbells now and then?
It would be quite nice to have one set only. My dumbells are stored in the bottom of the coat closet and it is such pain to kneel down and dig them out every time I workout. Then I have to put them away too!
I mostly use the Select Tech Dumbells. But depending on what workout I am doing I sometimes use a few of my other Dumbells as the Select Tech go up 2.5 lbs from 5 lbs to 25 lbs, then in 5 lb increments to 50 lbs and sometimes I want to use a weight in between...like an 8 lb......Carole
