Scoliosis

Lori: Is there anyone out there with scoliosis in their lower back, and if so, do you have any problems with weight training and aerobics (such as pulled muscles, pain in tendons of legs, etc.) because of the hip bone not being evenly aligned?

Hi - I have a slight case of scoliosis. It was one of the reasons I stopped running. A lot of my female friends--former runners--had lower disk problems after running for years, so since my spine is slightly askew, I decided not to tempt fate. Besides, a horrible case of piriformis was the straw that broke that camel's back. That's another thread. The bottom line is that I have NO problems doing any of Cathe's tapes. In fact, doing the PS series and MIS has made my back STRONG---that can only be a good thing. But that's just me, and my scoliosis is slight. If yours is more pronounced, I'd check with a good orthopedist (sports medicine type) to make sure. Good luck. Suzanna
