Saturday Check-In******

Well, good morning! It is a wonderful 73 degrees right now, so I am thrilled. No rain in sight for my open house. I am not sure if I can squeeze in a workout today with all the party stuff going on, but will try.

Kate-I was up lastnight, from 4-right now. It is so strange...I just wake up and am ready for the day. Where is this energy coming from? By the way, I did make those p.butter balls, and they were SO good (notice I said "were"). I can't make them anymore b/c I can't stop myself.

My nerves have been getting fried with my DS being a mocking bird plus repeating things he wants to do (like 10,000 times)!!!!!!!! For example, he asked to go "bye bye" about 500 times yesterday-even after told no many times. And, then, when we did go to run some errands, he asked about the same amount of times to go home. He just told me 25 times that I am checking my e-mail. Each time, getting louder and louder until I acknowledged him for the 15th time. As a teacher, I know that he wants attention, and he gets tons. Sometimes, it just plain gets on my nerves.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Morning!
Jen-its a nice 68 here..what a relief. Havent seen temps like that since April. Of course it will be hot as fire today, but its a nice tease anyway. Have a great day..wish I could come to your open house! Sorry about the insomnia! My moms family is from PA..I have been there a couple times.
I bet Jen2 is having a blast!!!
About to go shower and get ready to go get dd. We meet them around 11 in Memphis..its a 3 hour drive for each of us.
Hi to everyone!!!!

Jen, Sorry for the lack of sleep. I've been up since 5, very uncomfortable. I CANNOT catch my breath today! Is this what it's going to be like for the next 2 months?! Have a great time today!

Susan. Haley Day! Hurray! Give her a big hug for us!

Hey ladies,
Jen--Sorry for the insomnia, but at least you were full of energy. Maybe it was the peanut butter balls! Did you use honey in them? Hope the open house goes well. I know what you mean about "mocking birds." Henry, who's 3, will tell us something upteen million times until we repeat him word for word and he knows we've heard him. It's not enough to say, "really?" or "yes" or "uh-huh"... Oliver did it too. Maybe it's a little-boy thing. Tangent: did you say that you taught first grade? We went to a meet-and-greet at Oliver's school last night and were supposed to meet his teacher, but instead, found out that she has broken her knee cap and will be out for four to six weeks recovery (double ouch). The sub seems really really nice. I just wanted to know if you think that he will miss out on anything not having his real teacher there for the first month and a half, or is that usually kind of a review period?

Susan--Hope you have a nice trip today!! I know you are SO excited to have your little girl back home!

Kate--Sorry you're winded today. Maybe it's just the way the little one is positioned and he'll move into a more comfortable spot soon. Take a nap today when the girls do!!!

Well, DH got all of the baby clothes down from the attic today. SOOOO cute. SOOOO many memories. I decided to donate a ton of them to goodwill though because I have just too much. And I had to throw a lot away just because of the spit-up stains! I almost cried when I unpacked the sweet daygowns and christening outfit. Now I've got to launder them all and put them away. DH is going to a "pub quiz night" with some friends from work tonight. His British coworker organized it (it's apparently an English affair). I decided not to go because it's no fun playing trivia games at a pub when you can't drink (though I totally rock at trivia). So the boys and I will have movie night. Well, hope everyone has a splendid day!!! :)

Hi everyone!

I tried to post earlier, but accidently hit the sleep button on the computer and ended up turning it off, losing the post:mad:. Anyway, I'm back.

We had our bi-monthly home school mom with special needs kids breakfast and do you know what? They surprised me with a little shower. I was totally not expecting that:eek:--I mean it's my 7th kid, ya know? But it was very sweet and I was very moved. I ate waaaay to much, but one of my friends is trained as a chef and she fixed the breakfast this time and it was heavenly.

I'm having some rather painful braxton hicks, so hopefully something will start dialating down there....

++++
Jen--sorry about ds's poop--oh the poop stories I could tell you--hoo boy. I hope your party goes well and that you make lots of $$$.

Stephanie--I didn't have extra clothes in the car because I'm super mom, I had extra clothes in the car because we are slobs and things get left in the car a lot:eek::p. Anyway, have fun doing "movie" night with your kids!

Susan--hope you had a safe trip fetching dd. I'll bet it's good to have her back. Breaks are nice, but they get old and I start missing the kiddos.

Kate--I can't wait to see the stripes--you'll have to post pics. I cannot breath either. It is irksome:mad:

Hi everyone else--must be a busy day for everyone:)

Hey!
Wow is slow around here today!
I've got my baby back! She had a great time. I missed her, but it was quite nice having a week to myself, but Im sooo happy she is home.
We are just unwinding and about to watch Phelps swim and then watch Nimms Island.
Jen-how the did the open house go?
Kate-hope you had a great day!
Maggie-how sweet about the shower! You are about to give birth, you may eat as much as you like girl! Glad you enjoyed it!
Steph-have a fun movie night! I totally agree that going to a pub and not drinking it not the most fun.
JenM-hope you are having fun!!!
See you all tomorrow.

Maggie- how sweet of your friends! I'm sure you are very special to them.

Jen- sorry I never commented on the 360 question. I kept meaning to ask my husband but I didn't

My little Bento fest on Thursday left me with a very sore boo-tay yesterday and today. Kind of caught me off of guard. TOmorrow I am hoping to do a "test" run- maybe 2 miles? We'll see how it goes.

My poor husband somehow wound up going to Sams with my 2 and 5 yo's and I am here alone with Mimi zoning out on Olympics. Yay swimming! I am a bit of an Olympics junkie. My friends are coming on Tuesday to watch gymnastics and drink cocktails.
