Running Shorts?

Hi,

Question for everyone who runs/jogs. What kind of shorts do you wear? I am having trouble finding good ones. My problem is they tend to ride up as my thighs rub together. Now, I realize part of this may be my thighs are too big, but are there any shorts out there that don't ride up as much? Besides spandex/bike shorts? Help! x(

Thanks, Thea

I like the Nike Tempo Track Shorts.

Adidas has a "Mind and Body" short that I have not tried but might be something you could look into.

Road Runner Sports has a wide variety of shorts available and good descriptions of them. I usually look at what they have and then try to find a good deal somewhere else or just punt and buy the darn things from them.

I used to be able to get mine at Target. But they don't seem to have them anymore. I try for Nike's, reeboks, asics that I can find at T J Max or Ross's. I have also ordered some from Road Runner Sports too...:)...Carole

I have big thighs and have to use a lot of body glide to avoid chaffing. I'm hoping that will change as I lose more weight. I wear Nike running shorts most of the time. I have a pair that are very fitted like biking shorts almost and then I have 2 pairs that have the cutaways on the sides. If I wear something with a thick seam it really bothers me, even with body glide. I hate spending money on clothes that end up not working, but sometimes that's the only way I know. Good luck and you are not the only one with big thighs, believe me!

I know that you asked about running shorts. I had the same problem with the shorts riding up while running and just got completely frustrated. I don't really like spandex shorts, so that wasn't an option either. What I found to work the best for me is running in capri pants. They are great because they are not as hot as pants, but they dont' ride up either. I got some really good Sugoi capris that are lightweight too for running in the summer. I rarely run in shorts anymore.
