I am sorry you are hurting! I bet if we all put our educated minds together, we can get you on the healing track!!

Amy, Congratulations on the 10K! I told my DH about your race today and he thought it sounded like fun. He used to love muddy cross-country meets, how the mud challenged your brain while you ran. I love the "thought" behind the organizer of your race, it helps you to take it less seriously, just get out there and run. After, someone proposes of course! That is simply fantastic. Ice, in the bathtub, in April? with my sensitive behind, you are a braver woman than I, lol.

Shelley-I'm so sorry to hear that your hip is aching after your run today:-( :-( I know this is going to sound crazy, but have you tried peanut oil and moist heat? My parents (who are mid-50's but active) have sworn by this remedy for years (I don't even know where they got it from, I'll have to ask) and I always thought it was just a nice placebo. The heat felt good and so eased the pain of joint/muscle injury. But after I started working out with Cathe almost 2 years ago I had problems with my knees and plantar faciitis and so I thought it couldn't hurt. Now I swear by it, and so does my DH, we must go through a bottle every few months (just the regular kind you buy in the cooking oil section). Just a thought...I mean peanut butter is so good on the inside, why not the outside?

Elaine-Haggard?!? Maybe you should wish some bears or cows :+ ? across his path? Maybe Carole or Karin could spare some? TWO marathons a year? Holy cow, no wonder you're our resident running guru.

Tig-How is Joey feeling? Did you manage to get Daddy to play babysitter today so you could get to the gym?

I bought two new sports bras today (Brooks), to regular bras (thankfully none of these were a smaller size!) 2 pairs of dress slacks from the Gap, a pair of loooowwwrise Mavi jeans (very nice IMHO =-)) I'm actually going to miss that "My pants are too big" feeling though. DH is really still feeling it in his calf, but I am so itching to get out there so I'll be masseuse tonight and we'll see what tomorrow brings!
