How are the runners this Easter!!

Hoping to hear how Sarah did in her 20 miler

I'l be trying for 18 depending on the rain....could be 16 if it pours..

Enjoy the day and Happy Easter...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/fsc/easter3.gif[/img]

Have a great run, Carole!

No running for me today. I did a couple of easier DVDs this morning: Kari Anderson's Go (step) + Kelly Coffey Meyers The Shape of Things to Come (upperbody/step intervals/abs).

Have a great Easter! :)

Hi Ladies!! So sorry I did not check-in yesterday but my day was crazy busy! I got up at 5 a.m., met with the running group for my 20 mile run, had to dash home to get cleaned up to take the kids to an Easter egg hunt, had to drive an hour to Dayton to see the in-laws...then another hour home. Had to get the kids to sleep so that I could put their Easter baskets together...whew! The 20 mile run was the easy part of my day!

O.k., now to the good stuff...my run Saturday was kick ass! I am once again impressed with how well my body is gaining endurance. Last Fall, after 10 miles I was tired enough to call it a day. Now, I'll look at my GPS and be stunned that 14-15 miles are gone and wonder where the time went! Yesterday was a bit tougher but I know it was because I did 19 last weekend and 16.5 the weekend before. Still, I finished with my head up and walking the rest of the day without a hobble!

So, today will be Yoga with Bryan Kest! Time to start my 3 week taper!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Easter runners!!!

Anyone need some rain? We've plenty to spare out here! I've been out of town this week, so I've missed most of the check-ins, but I couldn't wait to get on here and see how everyone did.... I came down with an UGLY head cold last night so I don't know how the workout will go this afternoon. DH says I need to skip it but....he just doesn't understand some things ;-) I'm supposed to easy run (treadmill) and do ME but I'll just see how this bad cold feels later on today. Maybe I'll join you, Judy and have a rest day or join you, Kathy and have an easy workout day instead. I did have a good ride on my roadbike yesterday morning though...uh, before the rain...grrrr

SARAH!- YOU ROCK! I am soooo proud of you. I knew you would sail through the 20 miler, so now you've got the marathon in the bag--most definitely! Congratulations on your accomplishments and again, thank you for being such an inspiration!

Carole - Based on the weather here, I already know you are probably running with diving gear on right now! I hope you are able to get in a good run though. Atleast our forcast calls for a little bit of sunshine (whats that?) this week. Good luck and I'm sure you'll do fine for 18 miles! Go get em'!

have a wonderful easter, ladies

Hello fellow runners. I just got back from my 65 min run. It was pretty good for me. I covered 5.8 miles in this time. I was totally excited. Next weekend is 70 min and I am hoping to make 6 miles on that run, but I guess we will just see.

Carole - I hope that the rain holds off for you today.

Sarah - Great job on your run yesterday.

Kathy - How is Kari Anderson's Go (step)? I was wondering about it.

I hope that everyone has a great day :D !

Karin

sarah great job on the 20miler!!! that is awesome!!! I cant imagine running 20miles, pat yourself on the back, you deserve it!!!!

Sarah, just an honest and sincere well-done, you are an impressive inspiration! I know what you mean about amazing yourself with endurance, I used to be able to barely run a mile and now I need to at least hit the two hour mark to consider it a long run =-)

The weather is so nice here today (sorry Calirainians) that I had to get outside to run, but I gave blood yesterday, and DH is still on the calf-mend so we just went about 60 min. and 5.5 miles with A LOT of HIIIILLLLSSS--we are visiting my parents for the holiday and the actually live on a road named "John Hill Road" yeah, it's pretty much what you think;-) }( Felt great though! Then I came home and had two of my mom's homemade rolls--one of my top 5 foods on this earth!! MMMMM!

Karin-looks like we matched today =-)!

Great runs everyone! Carole, I hope that you mangage the 18 miles and that the sun peeks through the clouds.

Wendy how are you feeling?

Everyone else, enjoy the holiday, the runs, the rest days!

Way to go SARAH!!!! http://bestsmileys.com/signs7/5.gif[/img] enjoy your taper!!

Kathy, Judy, Tomasina (no diving gear needed!), Karin, and Mattea, thanks! I did have a good 18 mile run!! It rained a bit the first few miles but then the sun peeked out of the clouds and it ended up a beautiful day for a run...a bit muddy in areas but overall had a real good run with my sis and my other good friend. I always feel so blessed running with someone on these long runs as it sure does help!! The 3 of us have run together for about 15 years.

Mattea hope you enjoyed the HILL running!!

Karin good job on 65 min, I bet 70 min won't be a problem..

Tomasina...I do agree that DH's just don't get the running thing..:)...hope your head cold goes away fast! We should get some sun this week too!

Judy...enjoy watching Boston, let us know how that goes

Off to cook something for easter...:)

carole, wow 18miles that is great. How do you also manage to run on the trails? I was thrown off my that last mile and a half of trail running yesterday. Not use to that at all.It was pretty uneven turf also. I dont know how you ladies go beyond the 13.1, my hats off to you all!!!

Thanks Laura! Yes, trails are uneven but once you get used to that...it's not bad at all. I did run on some roads today so it was not totally on trails....:)

God bless all of the racers and racers in training today! It was high winds locally, and I could only do 4.5 miles outdoors before I ran in to use the treadmill. 7.5 total and I was a lazy bum the rest of the day.
