Kathy-There's life other than exercise life? :+ Yes, last night I thought about a run after work, but was experiencing major DOMS from the PP premix and so turned it into a nice after dinner walk with DH.
Elaine-I like to do weights first if the cardio is running afterwards, but if it's something that has blasts or requires getting my feet up onto a step I almost always opt for the cardio first, safer this way...
Carole-Congratutalations on upping your mileage! Pretty soon you'll be running the equivalent of 2 marathons every week.
I have a quick question about the HRM tempo run. I tried it this morning, but found that I had a hard time keeping my HR in a consistent place, 5 beats elevated, 4 more beats, etc. With all the hills around where I live it kept jumping around, and then when I was supposed to be coming back down I felt so warmed up that I had to keep my HR up at the highest level to feel like I was really doing something. Do you have any advice on keeping the HR consistent at each level, or do I just need more practice. Plus I felt like I spend almost as much time looking at the HRM as at the road, LOL! I ran 10 min. then 6 at plus 5 beats, 5 at plus 4, 4 at plus 3, then "back down" except my HR pretty much stayed at the "plus 3" level. Followed this up with Bryan Kest Power yoga.
Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and cold here, so I think I'll be bringing it inside. Sending sunny thoughts in everyone else's direction.
