Runner's Check-In 4/20

Hi all! I'm back from my 18 miler and feeling good! (just sleepy)
Those long runs really deplete a a girl! The last mile was a bit tough but I managed. The encouragement and knowledge gained from this check in is fantastic. What a great group of runners/athletes you all are!
For Kathy, my HM is in Prescott, Az (where I live), the Whiskey row
marathon. The HM course startes at 5300 ft and ascends to 7000 ft.
Nobody PRs on this course! Still, the scenery can't be beat! Time to rest now!

Just back from a 5 mile run that was somewhat flatter than I normally run. But I live at the top of a hill so running down to the flat area still leaves me running up back home.

USATF.com is the US track and field website. You can map out running routes if they are roads and save them to their database. It gives you the mileage as you go along building it.

My right knee has been bugging me lately so Sarah's voice that is always in my head nagging me to stretch was screaching at me. I did the first segment of Stretch Max when I got home and it feels amazingly better.

I just got done running 5.5miles today. Felt a little sluggish after yesterdays workout .sarah I am trying that endurox r4 drink today, will let ya know how I like it.

JOG YOUR BONES STRONGER
Joggers have it made. Not only do they tend to weigh less, be nonsmokers, have fewer chronic health problems and enjoy better overall health than their non-jogging peers, they have stronger bones as well.
These are the findings of a recent study of 4,254 black, Mexican-American and white males that took part in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.
Those who reported jogging at least once per month (about 900 men) had higher bone density than their sedentary counterparts. And those who jogged nine or more times per month had the greatest bone density.
In this case, more may not necessarily be better, as those who reported jogging 20 or more times per month had about the same bone density as less frequent joggers.

Shelly, My DH would love to retire in Prescott. I keep reminding him that you never know what it's going to be like by the time we retire! And too bad they couldn't run that 1/2 in the other direction!
