Wow...I think I might have some sun for a few days!!!

I'll be doing GS legs standing only and a 5 or 6 mile run

Hey Carole...I'm back...I HOPE! LOL

I'm heading to the gym today and hope to get on the treadmill for a bit...not sure how far I'll make it though-I am still coughing.x(

Thats all I did with leg work yesterday was GS Legs standing...and the floor work is my favorite part...so.... pick some sense in that?:) I had enough of working out I think and I just wanted to finish up.

I am running today but I don't know if I am doing a circuit workout plus running or just straight running.I am going to my parents house tonight so I plan on running out there tomorrow.They have a ton of hills...actually, its mostly downhill, then when Im on my way back home is when its all up hill.If the weather isn't that great,my sister also has her step out there and weights so I can just take a video with me.

Wendy...sorry about that cough, they always seem to linger...x( Take it easy on the treadmill today. I will say 5-6 miles in the nice weather is alot easier than in the rain!!

Lori...I am trying standing legwork twice a week and then floor work once a week during my current rotation. Enjoy your hill running tomorrow...:)
 
Ugh...I am looking through the rotations but I don't see anything I like.I only have one set of DVD's so this premix stuff isn't for me, cause everything else I have is VHS.I have a wedding in June and I would love to shed about 5-7 lbs and have a little more arm definition...anyone with any ideas????

Hello ladies. I hope that everyone is having a great day and that your runs went or go well.

I am not running today but am posting to say that I signed up for a 5K race on Sunday. In the past I have done 5K events with the goal of just making it to the end. However, I have a goal this week. Usually I do my long runs at a pace of about 5-5.2 mph. However, my goal for this race is to finish with an overall pace of 5.6-5.8 mph. I know that it isn't that fast, but I am definitely one of those slow and steady people that likes to go for a long time at a slow pace. So, this will be a challenge for me. I hope I can do it. I'll never know unless I try though!!!

Hi everyone,
No running for me today. I did Pyramid Lower Body and the step premix on Low Max this morning. I'm feeling a little tired from this weekend, I'm hoping it passes soon because I have the first 5k race of the season on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it, the course is a nice trail inside a park. :)

Lori, do you have the Gym Styles? The bicep and tricep workouts are the best, IMO. I always feel my triceps the day after doing those! Maybe you can concentrate on one or two bodyparts a day plus cardio and see if you see more definition. Although, from my experience....eating is about 70% of success. ;(

Getting all of those premixes is NOT wasting moolah girl! You are missin' out chickee! You need to ask for the replacements slowly as gifts for your b'day and Christmas if you don't want to fork over the dough yourself!:+

Kathy-Hope you are feeling better for the weekend, doesn't it feel weird to do Lomax w/o the blasts? It's mental thing for me

Wendy-Glad you're feeling better, take it easy, especially as you are still coughing, you'll gain back the running endurance quickly once your lungs are all better.

Carole-It's sunny here and sunny there? I think a pig just flew past my window}(

Lori-I think Aquajock posted a get ready for summer rotation that works on this very issue, using S&H, GS, PS, the Pyramids and CTX. Unfortunately I have to second the importance of diet in getting definition and the last few pounds;(

Today is supposed to be a rest day for me but it's AWFULLY nice out, so we'll see;-)

Well, I'm back from the gym.

I did a 5 min walking w/u @ 3.5
ran for 10 mins at 5.5
fast walk at 4.0 w/an incline of 5 for 5 mins
5.5 for a 5 min run (no incline)
4.0 fast walk w/incline for 3 mins
5.5 for the last 2 mins
I cooled down for a minute or two and then jumped on the eliptical where I did 5 mins forwards and 5 mins backwards each twice and I played with the resistance then a 5 min cool down.

Lori - wow, great workout. If I did what you did I would be laying on the couch the rest of the day :) . You have a ton of endurance! I can only hope to be there someday.

Wendy - I love your treadmill workout. Great way to break up what could potentially be 30 min of monotonous (sp?) treadmill work. I am going to have to print out some of your workouts and use them. They seem like a lot of fun.

Mattea - So, are you going to rest or run }( ?

Hello, everyone! Sorry I don't have time to read everybody's posts, but I've got work to do! }(

I did a 3 mile interval run early this morning and I am going to do PH upper bod plus 20-25 minutes of cardio to warm up - I may run again. I haven't decided yet... and I have only 5 more minutes to make up my mind! :p

Carole, I just wanted to let you know that since I have eliminated hills, especially going downhill, I haven't had ANY knee problems at all. I did 11 miles on Sunday, completely flat trail, and not one single pain. :) Thank you for your advice!

Hey, thanks! Part of the reason I do what I do is to alleviate the boredom since I don't have an mp3 player or an ipod yet but a BIG reason is because I am still new to running and just can't go much of a distance w/o backing off to a fast walk for a bit. At any rate...I'm glad you like my work outs!
 
Run of course!! It won't be long, but I need it. Unfortunately I'm not out of work until 6:00, but at least I have something to look forward to:7

Hello Ladies! We are quite an active bunch. Everyone's workouts sounds great! I just got back from my 3.5 mile run today. It felt great. I've actually noticed that I run faster when I run outside. Today I ran my 3.5 miles in about 37 minutes, whereas on the treadmill I normally run 3 miles in 35 minutes. Must be the boredom of being on a treadmill slowing me down. Note to self - keep running outside. The weather is warm and sunny so I plan to take as much advantage of this as I can.
