Rotation Question

I was about to post this on the "Ask Cathe" forum but decided to get everyone's input here first. I have a general rotation question.

Typically, I rotate through Cathe's workouts, making sure that I use them all at some point or another. Sometimes I use the rotations that she posts. Others, I make my own.

Whenever I use S&H, I do three weeks of it (adding in some cardio, of course) and then move on to something else. But when I do PS, GS, CTX & the others, I usually only do one or two weeks (but usually one) of each before moving on to another series. So, for example, in December, I did one week of GS, one of circuit workouts, one of PS and one with total body workouts (give or take, I am generalizing here for the sake of simplicity).

My question is this: is it better to use each series for a week or so and mix it in the same month with others or is it better to use each series for two or three weeks (or more)(for a number of weeks exclusively) before moving onto the next one? Does each method accomplish something different?
