Rotation question

Hi everyone -
I just bought the Slim Series and tried starting the most 'intense' rotation. I have been doing Cathe for a while now so I figured I could handle it. While doing Cathe I never did an 'offical' rotation - just whatever video I felt like that day, so this is really the first time I've tried a rotation.
SO I've started the SS rotation without ever trying the videos - and I'm so sore! The thought of doing today's workout after yesterdays is really being to seem unrealistic. So my question is, is it ok to skip days while I'm starting just to get used to the new type of workout, or am I ruining the point? Is the point that it's a new, different workout that you just pound your body with six days a week? Should I be starting with a less intense rotation? Does it ruin the effect if I do a less intense rotation (and my body builds up getting used to the tape's intensity) and then later do the intense rotation? And if I do that, is it important to take a big break in between to kind of make it 'new' again?
