rotation question

I am doing Cathe's Hardcore rotation for weight loss I am in my second week. First of all I have problems sticking to rotations, for various reasons, but I have made a commitment to stick to this one for a month.

My question is this, is there any benefit to doing 2 weeks of the weight loss rotation and then switching to 2 weeks of the strength rotation? My goal is to lose about 5 pounds that have seem to have come at of no where during these winter months x(, but more importantly fat loss. I know diet is a big player in my goal and I am trying to eat smart.

I think it would be easier for me to stick to 2 weeks at a time but I am not sure if I am allowing enough time to see results. Or maybe a different rotation would help me accomplish my goals?
