"Rock hard" abs

:) :) :) Last night after my workout, I told my husband to punch my stomach. Well, he did and there was no give at all. The look on his face was priceless - kind of dumbfounded. He didn't say anything (he's like that - a man of very few words) and I just started laughing because that look was awesome! I think he might even be getting nervous because mine are better than his! (maybe I'll get him doing Core Max when it comes. I'm giving him his very own stability ball for Christmas.)

You know, I exercised for over 2 years straight before my daughter and my abs are better NOW after only 4 months than they were then. I think it must be the core exercises that have been added. They were only just coming in when I stopped (I think the first was in the CTX tapes?). Either that or I'm just concentrating harder? I don't know - I'm just HAPPY!!!!!!:7

Hi Donna,
That is just awesome! :9 Makes you feel so proud of all the hard work you have done. YEA!!! Thanks for sharing your happy experience.

From Jane Fonda days onward,I used to do hundreds of situps and crunches until the cows came home. I had muscle but not a ripped look. You are right, core work holds the key. I simply love all the variety of core work that Cathe puts in her workouts. They work, as you know. I, for one, am happy for you. You go girl!. ;-)

I cannot wait for the new additions to core workouts with this new Hardcore series.}(

Thanks Wanda! Jane Fonda - WOW! There's a blast from the past! I remember doing that when I was in high school (we had it on vinyl - so that shows how old it is!) Kind of makes me laugh when I think how pooped we got just doing the warm up! That whole workout would serve as my warm-up today.

RE:

That's awesome, Donna!:) You must be so proud!

I agree that core work holds the key to stronger, more defined abs. I did crunches and other traditional ab work for YEARS, barely able to get my shoulder blades off the floor in a crunch. After doing Cathe ab work for a couple of years and now P90X, I cannot believe how strong my abs have gotten! My mid-section has been the toughest area for me to strengthen by far. For the first time in my life, I would say I have strong abs, and that's saying something!

Donna and others, congratulations on your progress. That is great.

My abs are my least favorite body part to work. Does it get better??

Hi Donna,

I was going to put off exercising this morning but after reading your story I've changed my mind. Thanks for the inspiration!
