Road Trip Free Time

Okay, from what I can surmise from the schedule, we're going to have some free time Friday afternoon (obviously depending on what time you arrive). I believe that has been earmarked for a shopping tour guided by Laura (Maximus).

Friday evening after the welcome bash, there seems to be some free time. Is that that when we're going to the diner?

Saturday there isn't any free time until after the pizza party and it was suggested we hit a bar or something, right? Laura, did you have somewhere in mind and is it close to the hotel or close to the gym?

Sunday between finishing crying in the parking lot of the breakfast place and whatever time your flights home are seems to be free as well. Is there more shopping planned, or do we all just go our separate ways?

excellent question shelley love! i believe that dinner and shopping on friday are before the welcome party and the bar time is after that. LAURA(practicing) since you are in charge unofficially of all trolloping and gallavanting correct me if i'm wrong!!!

The flights us Texans (some of us) are taking home Sunday are not until 4-ish. Bring on the riot!

I wanna get as much shopping in as I possibly can. Friday afternoon and Sunday, I hope. My flight on Sunday is at 3:30. My preference would be to go out on Friday night, as I'm anticipating that after 3 workouts and a few hours of DJ & dancing on Saturday, I'll be wiped. I'm not young, you know;)

I don't know if I'll have very much free time, except for late Friday afternoon. My flight doesn't get in till 3:00pm. But I would love to go shopping with y'all before dinner and the welcome bash! :)

On Sunday, my flight leaves at 2:30pm, so I've got to be at the airport before 1:30 - not much time for gallavanting around. I'll have to play it by ear...

Jes has it right (and thank you so much ladies for actually using my real name LOL)--I figured shopping early-mid afternoon, dinner before the welcome party & the bar after. I'm guessing the welcome party will be 7-8ish (coordinators please correct me if I'm wrong) since it's just offering snacks & there are no plans for dinner.

Don't worry Shelley--we'll have at least a couple of hours for the mall, & if not I'm happy to return at some point over the w/e. ;-)

How are the malls, if anyone knows? Pricey, discount? I don't like shopping that much especially if the price is not right. Of course, I'm sure that won't stop the real shoppers!:7

There are 2 malls within 10 minutes. The Cherry Hill Mall is definitely a pricier, more upscale place. The Moorestown Mall is less expensive & also has a ton of stores surrounding it--Bed Bath & Beyond, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc.

Now Shelley, if you only plan to bring a carry-on, you can't be doing TOO much shopping or you won't have room in your little carry-on to pack your newly acquired items. That's why I think I'm bringing the big suitcase - so I'll have room for all the stuff I'm going to be buying. Just don't tell DH I said that... }(

I am going to have to check my luggage. I want to have room for the things I buy and I am also staying longer so I need to bring more clothes with me.:)

Stuff an empty duffel bag in your carry on, then on the way home check the extra bag which will be filled with your new purchases. If you're at home, it's less horrible if your bags get lost.

For those tough to remove blood stains in your carpet, use a paste of club soda and cornstarch. Rub gently against the nap of the carpet, then blot with a clean white cloth until all the blood is gone. Next, tell whoever angered you to not do it again. :D

Tough to remove bloodstains. Okay, I'm beginning to regret rooming with you people. Evily with her chainmail, wooden spoons and Matchbox cars, and now Becky with her bloodstains. Angie, is there anything you'd care to share with us?
