Rhythmic Step & Interval Max

Hello again,

How does the intensity of Rhythmic Step & Interval Max comapares to the intensity of BodyMax (cardio section)? I'm asking because I'm trying to decide on whether to buy RS/MIC/IM DVD or just to buy MIC VHS tape?

Thanks for being so helpful :)

Hi, XenaFan! IMHO, Interval Max is much more intense at its peak (understanding that intensity modifications are demonstrated throughout the workout to ease you into it) than Body Max step sections. I cannot really speak to how Body Max compared to Rhythmic Step in terms of intensity, because the speed of the movements and the complex choreography of Rhythmic Step have always defeated This Ole A-jock, thus it is not really a part of my ongoing program except for its warm-up.

IMHO, you'd do best by kicking over the traces and getting the 3-workout DVD - too many people rave about Rhythmic Step for you to pass it by, and the 3-workout combo is really great!

Hope this helps -

Oh get the 3 pack - you won't be sorry! Rhythmic Step is lower intensity, but that is perfect for later in the week once you've already done an intense tape like Imax or BodyMax. And its aerobic phase is 47 min. which is nice and long. Imax is SLIGHTLY lower in intensity (IMHO) than Body Max as a whole, but it is tough. Body Max is the toughest Cathe to me, because it moves soooo fast. And MIC is great to split into 2 parts. Plus if you get the DVD, you can mix and match, like do the hi/lo from MIC and 1 or 2 intervals from IMax or just do sections 2 and 3 from RS for a shorter workout. Much more possibilities. Hope this helps. Have fun!
