more good news....it's a GIRL!!!!! 
the doctor also sent for the results of the triple screen and there's a 97.5% chance that this baby doesn't have down syndrome. he was very pleased with the results of the blood test and the ultrasound.
my hunch was wrong all along, i even had a dream that we had an ultrasound and they told me i was having a boy. nonetheless, i would've been just as happy if i was having a boy. she even waved to us during the ultrasound!!!! she's a very active little thing, lots of movement.
now i'm pretty sure her name will be Samara, i just need to come up with a middle name.
