Hi,
I posted in February about finding the perfect workout shoe. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Freddys, which many of you recommended but I decided to try the Ryka Rhythm II which many of you also recommended. Here's what I found after 2 weeks use:
- Higher cut than I thought although I knew I had bought a mid-cut shoe - not necessarily a bad thing I'm finding out.
- Overall very stiff but starting to loosen up. I am hoping they don't loosen up too much too fast but I think they're going to be ok. I need this kind of stability.
- Slightly less room in the toe box than I would have liked. Problem resolved when I replaced the Ryka insert with my own (non-custom) orthotic inserts.
- Really good shock absorption! Very necessary and welcome with Hard Core series.
- No heel slippage. Hooray!!
- Look very cool in black.
So, I would say that this is about as close as I'm going to get. They are a little pricey but nothing is too good for my feet,
although I would never pay this much for dress shoes! I do have my priorities, after all...
Thanks for everyone's input.
