Resting

I was warming up and felt a tiny pinch in my hamstring..stopped immediately didnt want to hurt it any worse..has this happened to anyone? If so how long should i lay off working out? Also ive been working out really hard 6 days a week..does anyone take rest weeks off of working out?
 
I haven't had your experience randidiane, but I do active recovery weeks with STS after 3 weeks of hard training. I wonder if some yoga and stretching workouts may work for you. If your core is not affected, perhaps you could do some upper body toning and/or some ab training.

Hi randidiane,
I'd also incorporate yoga and flexibility exercises while you are recovering. I find foam rolling also helps get the kinks out and incorporate it on a consistent basis.
I find rest weeks part of the process in working out. It's important to let our bodies rest, relax and recover. As hard as it is to take a break, our bodies crave it.
Hope your hamstring is feeling better.
 
Thank you guys for helping me:) i took about 3 days off..i cant find my Stretch max dvd..so ive been using my butts and guts cool down ..i love the music and cathes stretches on there feel so good!.. and i do feel better;)
