Rest Day Timing - Does it Matter?

Good morning all:

Quick question about rest days. Do you ladies think the timing of one's rest day matters? I'm doing a P90X rotation right now, with the rest/stretching day scheduled for Saturdays. I usually do it like that but the last couple of weeks have been so busy that it's easier for me to take my rest day during the week and push everything back a day. Does it matter?

Hi Sparrow.

My rest days change often depending on what day I start a rotation, how many rest days I take, how many days I want to exercise for before I take a rest day, etc...I wouldn't worry about it as long as your body is yelling at you for pushing too hard without a rest day.

I usually take my rest day in the middle of the week because it gives me a little break from the "rush-rush" of the work-week. But it can actually be any day, M-F. If I need to go shopping or run errands after work, that becomes my rest day. I rarely take them on weekends. Those are my two days to kick @$$.}(
