Really Oily skin

I use Paula's Choice balancing cleanser every night and every other am. On alternate mornings, I use a gentle exfoliating cleanser. At night, I use Neutrogena anti-acne/anti-wrinkle cream--just a very small amt!

For makeup, I make my own tinted moisturizer by using PC mattifying spf 15 mixed with Revlon Colorstay lightweight foundation. I use PC pressed powder, as well. I use blotting papers probably 3X per day, and reapply powder once.

If you have acne, I'd be wary of using food products on the face. They can increase bacteria on the skin.

For really oily skin, you can make a masque of Milk of Magnesia by just applying it with a cotton ball and letting it dry before rinsing. The results are helpful, but temporary.

You should really check out paula begoun's website. it is chock full of excellent, excellent advice. I almost never purchase anything without checking her books or site first.

For the other Paula fans: she has a new product or line debuting tomorrow, I have no idea what it is but I can't wait.

Ok so after wearing moisturizer for two days my skin is considerably LESS oily. I even put it on my eyelids and my makeup didn't crease in there. I also only had to blot once during the day. I never would have believed this would be the case but I do think that with all of the acne meds and oil control products I have been using I think that my skin was working overtime producing oil.

Looks like an acne-treatment line. Ironically, my acne has really cleared up after using her other products.

Don't have time to read through all the responses, but the secretary in our department has really oily skin, and she swears by using rice paper throughout the day to dab off the shine. It's an old-fashioned trick, but it works.

I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice Mattifying Antioxidant serum (check it out here). Apply it after you cleanse (and after toner, if you use it) - it's super-light, doesn't cause me to break out, and keeps me matte and non-oily all day. It's better than any makeup primer I've ever tried, and I don't even know it's there. LOVE it.

Mine did too! It was amazing. I think the product I can't live with out is the Exfoliating 2% Beta Hydroxy Acid Liquid. It the ONE product I narrowed down as the MUST have along with benzol peroxide as needed. My skin is clear most of the time now but still oily and I just turned 39.
