questions about gym style legs

Hi Cathe,
I really enjoy this dvd. I have two questions:
-- about how many inches of band do you scrunch up on the high step? In other words, do you grab, say 4 or 6 inches down the band?
-- In plie squats, what difference, in terms of effect, does it make to hold the barbells in front of you verses on the thigh?

On the band I would grap as far down as you feel gives you a good burn and resistance. If you feel the green band doesn't do that, get the next resistance band up - purple. I think several gals have done that. I think the resistance band is kinda like choosing your weight selection - do what challenges you. For plie squats I do the squats with the dumbbells resting on my thighs. I think there is no difference in resistance for the legs when I do that verse holding them in front of me. I do this for back reasons, holding them infront of me strains my back so I don't do it that way. I do think if you hold the dumbells to the side of you you don't quite get the same amount of resistance. Once again, I think you should do what works for you and you feel that you can keep good form with. HTH! :)
