Question on iSculpt Ballet

Never mind - answered my own question. for any who want to know the answer is no - you can hold on to a body bar or a broom stick or even an unloaded barbell.

Christine,
I have 3 iSculpt Ballet workouts and none of them uses a traditional barre. The illustrations (that come pdf with most of the iSculpts), show the instructor using a unweighted barbell (as Cathe does in Legs and Glutes), but you could use the back of a chair, the wall, your couch, a friend, you get the idea :7. Also, much of the work is done on the floor, so even though the descriptions contain the word "barre," as far as I know it seems to just be code for "bar," as in standing work. Maybe someone who has them all will say differently. I know that the most recent thread on iTrains listed 3 different codes for free workouts, so you can try 3 for free.

HTH,
Mattea:)

Hey Mattea! Thanks! We miss you over at the Cheetahs! I have a monthly membership for iTrain, and I think I have 15 credits I haven't used, so I downloaded a few of these. I can't wait to try one tonight. Heavy weights and the endurance sports I do, don't mix very well, so I've been looking for unique lower body workouts that will work the muscles I do not use all the time.

Hi Christine! I miss you crazy Cheetahs, but I've barely had time to breath, let alone post everyday. Maybe in the fall...sigh:D

Anyway, I'm right there with you on the endurance/heavy leg work, I was getting buns of GIANT steel. Amassing huge quantities of leg musclex( I switched to a rotatino where I started working legs much more often and with much lighter weights. I started with Cathe's Rock Bottoms rotation (subbing a lot of running for the listed cardio, but keeping the kickboxing in as this is always a big help for me in slimming the lower body), and now my shorts actually fit. Whoofreakinhoo! In Cathe's rotation she has you doing the floorwork from PLB 3-4 times a week. After the first week I started subbing all the other floorwork she has and using the iSculpt Ballet workouts. Oh, and the KM leg drills. And another thing? I LIKE lighter leg weights, lol! :p

Christine,

I have just been enabled to buy and ISculpt Ballet by someone in the Daily Check In! I may have to buy one and try it before week's end!}(

Mattea - I hear ya! My legs get so sore when I do endurance cycling with heavy weights - an I do get thighs of steel (not lucky enough to have a decent derrier, though). But, if I don't work my lower body, I am much more prone to injury. I'm hoping these are a good compromise. Besides, I'd love to have strong, sexy dancer legs! :+

Wendy - let me know what you think! I downloaded a few, and plan to do one tonight (at least part of one), so I'll let you know what I think.
