Hi Pinky
I like you have a curve in my spine, from the base of the neck down about midway. Which does make it hard to lay flat on my back when doing some of the exercises, but I don't modify, like when doing the ABS in AB hits, when Cathe, lays flat on her back and legs up in the air lifting them for lower abdominals, I want to get the full effect from the exercise so I just keep my head raised up like I am going to work both ends. I was wondering if you have this same problem since I read you have a curve in the spine too? Of course I have to make this same modification with all the exercises that we have to lay on our backs flat ;) ... Was just curious about you .... thanks Rhonda :7 :p

ps .. lol I guess I do modify if I keep my head up ... :p

Hi Rhonda,

Fortunately I have no such problem with reverse crunches or any ab exercise. I actually have two curves in my spine. One is between my shoulder blades (the curve goes toward the right) and one is in my lower back, about navel level (the curve goes toward the left). Both curves, my doctors have said, are "minor". I've seen the x-rays and they're not pretty. The upper curve, to me, looks bad. Imagine a bent, almost broken toothpick, if there is such a thing. What I find kinda bothersome is when I end up lying on my right side while I'm asleep. I wake up with a tightness in the curved area. It isn't so bad now that I'm working out a lot and stretching just as much. Do you do some yoga? My current doctor prescribed that along with weight training.
