Hi Cathe

First of all, Thank You! I love your basic step. I just purchased it 2 wks ago, I posted another question today but forgot to ask you, OK, I raised up my step and getting use to that, will my weight come down, I mean I heard that your body can get use to a certain excercise and it will just quit responding! so if I'am still doing the "step" after one year, but I raised up my step will my body still think its doing the same excercise and not responed? I haven't lost any weight since aug.(2006) and well just trying to figure out why?

also, how many calories should I be eating, (eating 1100 to 1500)
I cheat once a wk, to kind of reward myself(one meal)is that alright?

don't get me wrong, I am very proud of my weight lost, but I need to lose alot more!:)

I also started a food diary yesturday!

Not Cathe, but I can tell you when I raised my step to 8", I definitely started burning more calories. I would say anything under 1200 calories is too low. I usually eat between 1400-1800 calories. A cheat day once a week is okay. A food diary is also an excellent idea. Once you start seeing every little morsel that goes in your mouth, you will start making big changes and seeing big changes. For me, I think a food diary is the #1 thing that helped in my weight loss. I kept a food diary for about 6 months. It was a bit tedious and time consuming, but it was definitely worth it. You don't have to do it for that long; 3 months would be okay. It's just to give you an idea of what works for you.

Congratulations on the weight loss and stay strong. You'll do it.
