Question about workout manager..

I was just curious about the part of the workout manager that tells you how many calories are burned in an individual workout. Is that personalized for my individual weight? Or is it just an average? Thanks!

Laur

I'm wondering that too! Because I just finished MIC and I entered it on my calendar and it says 533 calories. I wonder if it came up with that number because of my height and weight? I have a monitor but it doesnt work so this is all I can go by.

Have you done Maximum Intensity Cardio before? Oh my gosh, I've never sweat so much in my life.

Haha yea for an oldie its pretty hard! I usually don't end up doing the whole floor workout cuz the low and medium intensity exercises are a little too easy. But the high intensity is AWESOME. When I need a good quick sweatfest I do the Blast Challenge from Kick Max, the Interval blasts from IMAX III, and the high impact floor exercises from MIC. Its an amazing cardio workout so feel free to steal it and give it a try lol

Haha thank so much for the suggestion! That sounds like a killer session! I will have to try it for sure :D

I THINK its based on the height/weight you enter. MIC gives me 938/cals, which is way more than the 500 the prev poster noted. I'm guessing our height and weight isn't the same. Its gotta be some math formula based on METS/duration/height/weight.

Yes, the Workout Manager uses your individual weight to determine calories burned.

Also, how does it take step height into account? You burn a lot more calories in a step DVD on 2 risers than you would without any height at all...just wondering
