question about my stepper!

Cathlete
I bought this stepper about a year ago,it starts at a hieght of 6 inches, its 24 inches long and 14 inches tall, and looks like it extends up to 14 inches(its by jane fonda, got it on ebay). MY question is,mine looks atlot smaller than the one cathe uses, should I purchase the one cathe uses! Her stepper does look alot easier to learn all the moves on?(I am new to her)

Take care,

Amy:)

If you can afford it, I would definitely get a club step, like the ones Cathe and crew use. 24" isn't very wide and would make some moves (like flying angels) very difficult. Plus you'll be amazed at how much more intense the workouts get when your step is longer ;)

Thanks shelly

I'll have to talk my DH into it,He's already gripeing(sp)about me buying two of cathe's video's!Oh,I'm so excited too! I just remind him that If I'am happy, then he's happy!;-)

You can use the step you bought ('stepper' is usually used to refer to a stair-step-type machine) for Cathe's workouts, but you won't get quite as good a workout, because side-to-side over-the-step moves will have to be shortened. Also, I would think it would rather uncomfortable, even if it's possible, to use the step you have as a bench, since it isn't long enough to support your head and body.

Cathe does use a shorter step in some of her beginning/intermediate workouts (like Low Impact Step), but even that, I think, is longer than 24 inches.

You could use the step you have in place of a high step (turn it sideways, so you are using the narrower end), if it does go up to 14".

The Club Step is an excellent investment, so though it may be more expensive than the step you bought, it is well worth it. Maybe you can propose it as a Valentine's Day gift? ;-)
