I got a HRM about one month ago and am loving it. However, I was just wondering about my heart rate while working out...it seems high, I think. I hit 194 while doing 4DS kickbox (jump kicks), and can hit 190's while jogging (uphill). Does anyone else out there get their HR that high? I was also wondering if the amount of calories I'm burning is accurate. Yesterday for example, I did P90X Chest, Shoulder, and Triceps and then ran 1.5 miles. It took me about 1 hr 10 min to complete all this and the HRM said I'd burned a little over 1,000 calories. What do you think? Accurate? Too high? I'd love to believe that! But, if this is the case, I feel like I should be able to eat anything I want and this is not the case! Any insight? TIA!
