Q-Tanning for a photo shoot

Mariela

Cathlete
I am planning on having a photo shoot for my 28th birthday in January 30. I have never tanned, not even from sun. I don't trust tanning beds. I am fairly white (with dark hair and dark eyes) and would like to use a self tanning product user friendly enough for a first timer and I would like to look natural. That is, not too distant from my natural tone (not like a tomato or too brown). I guess it also depends on the lighting. Please suggest a product, share any ideas, tips, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I'd like to help you out, but like you, I don't tan either. lol. I would say go to the mall or somewhere that specializes in tanners and ask a tanner 'professional' (lol) at the counter about what's the best and how it effects your skin, etc. Hope this helps, I tried! :7

I would also suggest trying it out long before the actual shoot!

I am very white and tan but only with a LOT of work (which I don't think is worth it, personally). I can use self-tanners but it took me a lot of trial and error to find anything that looks reasonably normal. I really like the Jergens lotion which gives you just a hint of color. That was much more natural for me than, say, trying to look like J Lo with red hair. :)

Good luck!

Try the spray on tans that most tanning salons do now. My niece had it done for a dance and it was very naturual looking. You pick the shade you want to be :) The cost was 20 bucks but it lasted for a week.

Defininately try it before the shoot. I had the spray on done before I went to Florida. I liked the results, just be careful to put lotion on your dry areas (feet, elbows, knees). I have also had nice results with Neutrogena spray.
