Hi everyone...

Besides this danged head cold, its a great day here in NE Ohio. The leaves are really starting to change and are a sight for sore eyes

As I was eating my new found love for Special K cereal, and reading the box, I found a site called "Push" advertised on it. I decided to give it a try. There is a 30 day free trial if you go through 3fatchicks.com What the heck...

Apparently, they customize dvd workouts according to your fitness levels and your equipment at home, and send you a new one every month to keep your body guessing. I decided to try the trial...It sounds like a hybrid between Netflix and fitness...Anything new usually always sparks my interest...I love trying new and interesting things

Has anyone else had experience with these guys/"PUSH"??? If so please share

There have been at least 3 incarnations of "PUSH" so far.
I tried their first offerings: not at all at the level I requested (advanced), and didn't seem really customized (I seemed to have the exact same workouts as everyone else I compared them to, and I had requested extra emphasis on glutes, triceps and abs).

They then got different instructors, claimed they had improved, so I tried them again.

Again, not advanced enough. And there were annoying things about the format (each exercise is separate, and sometimes there were very odd transitions, like going from standing cardio to decline ab work! Nice way to make someone pass out!). I think there were also some annoying 'jokes' on the bottom of the screen (not funny, too tied into current events, some actually rather offensive)..unless that was with the first batch.

I also had a taste of the third incarnation from a free DVD I got with some magazine. The warm-up included full head circles (which are very old-fashioned, and not necessarily safe...many experts advise against doing them). There were some interesting moves, but overall, I wasn't impressed.

Thanks for the heads up!!! I think I already had a gut feeling that Cathe was the only way to go.

Well they are sending the first, trial batch, at least I'm only out the shipping and handling...

I wouldn't say that, as I've found other good instructors...just not "Push"!

Really? Could you point me in a direction as far as variety of good instructors goes besides Cathe I mean Thanks...

If she's not already mentioned, I'd add Kelley Coffey-Meyers.

Amy Bento and Tracey Staehle are two up-and-comers who seem to have good potential. Amy is coming out with her second batch of workouts (the first ones had LOTS of whooping in, but I like her Bootcamp workout) and Tracey's first batch should be coming out soon.
