Push-Up Challenge Saturday

Hey all, I have a quick question...I did my re-test just now to see where I stand...I just pulled out 30 pushups and struggled to get back up on the last one. I am SUPPOSED to start Week 5 Monday, but the easiest level on Week 5 starts with Column 1 of 31-35 push-ups, sooo since I only JUST made 30 do I go back & repeat week 4? Day 1 of week 5 looks scary but yet days 2 & 3 are numbers I have been doing already. Now, I am confused! HELP! :eek:

I just came in from a 45 minute jog and also did Chest work yesterday so I am wondering if I might have pulled 30+ out easier if I wasn't a bit fatigued? How did you all do today?
 
Debbie, you might want to look at days 2 and 3 more carefully (look in the leftmost column where the set numbers are)....the numbers are similar, BUT you do some of those sets twice, totaling 8 sets instead of 5!!! The sets are shorter but there are more of them. So days 2 and 3 are scary in a different way!:eek:

I think you could go either way. Since you had already done so much work, you could safely assume that you would have done at least a few more pushups if you hadn't been fatigued. Or you could repeat the test in a day or two and see how it goes. Or you could repeat week 4. I think any of those solutions would be fine, just a matter of what you think will work best for you.

I haven't done today's yet (week 5, day 3, I think...I have to check), but I'm headed that way right now!
 
Hi Ladies!! No pushups today ..... doing Low Max Premix in a few minutes ( going to try the medicine ball on the blasts this time!)

Debbie- yesterday went really well doing MM Upper and the PU Challenge, I am now ready to take the week 2 test after doing week 2 twice. In regards to your situation, I think taking the test again in a couple of days like Jodi said would be a great idea! Especially because you did Chest work the day before...............

Jodi- I am living my pushup life vicariously through you!! lol End of week 5??? You go girl!

Did week 5 day 3 today: 20/20/24/24/20/20/22/50. The last 50 were VERY rough. I had to stop a number of times. Whew. Next will be my end of week 5 test. If I do at least 45, then I get to go on to week 6. We'll see!

Then I did B&G floor work and abs.
