Push/Pull Tower for squats?

I asked this in the STS forum, too, but thought I'd get a quicker response here. Can the new tower be used for squats? I was planning on getting squat stands, but with the presale price and the preorder coupon, this is a way better deal.

Klaudia, this has been asked and answered in the STS forum (but I'm too lazy to look for it ). They do NOT recommend using it for squats. They said it wasn't designed to meet the load requirements for a squat.
