Puppy Pictures

Oh, Carola - how CUTE!!!! I just love all of them! I sooo wish I could take Maverick, but that's not going to happen right now :(. He's sooo cute!!!!

I know, Christine. But you can always come by and visit him and the rest of the mini aussie crew}( AZ is not that far from CA.

I'd love to meet you and Jimmy!!

ROTFLMAO, get your checkbooks out, Lorie and Shannon! I am emptying my bank account for Maverick :+, and I am waving good-bye to Cathe's pre-sale, for this week at least }( Better get to work and make more money. 5 dogs will eat me out of house and home!

WTH am I thinking!!!

Actually, I could never bring any "competition" home for my dear Brandy. She'd be so jealous, she'd never forgive me. But dang are those puppies cute!

I was just kidding, Shannon! But I agree the pups are cute, I wish I could keep ALL of them. But DH will kick me out the door together with all the puppies. I am already pushing it with two new additons.

OMG! These babies are sooo adorable. I love little Gracie and her little tongue, but I would take them all.:)

Carola,

They are all so cute. Did I hear you right, you get to keep two of them? You're gonna have a house full of puppy love.

Carola...the 2 you picked are just adorable!! I have such a HUGE weakness for puppies and like Christine's Jimmy, these are just so darn cute...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/y/luvlove.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone!! I am such a sucker for puppies as well, I know I am probably getting on everyone's nerves talking about "my" puppies.

Jean, yes, it looks like I will be getting two puppies. Shiloh for sure and then I was thinking about getting Maverick, if he doesn't sell by this weekend. So I was pretty thrilled yesterday.

However, I got a call from the breeder last night that Keating, the puppy that was attacked by my GSD mix, has lost his eyesight on the side that he got attacked and the family who bought him probably won't take him.

So I am not sure what to do, on one hand I feel responsible and guilty, and think I should give him a home. However, I am not sure about having a half-blind dog with 4 rambunctious Mini Aussies.

Amazing how one short moment of carelessness can impact everyones life. I just want to slap myself, WTH were you thinking!!!

I don't know, I will probably try and find him a good home, and reimburse the breeder. She hasn't asked me to, but .....

I just can't think clearly right now. Sorry for rambling on. Have a great day everyone.

Carola,

My Maggie has one eye. She was absued and they puntured her eyeball and she has no sight in her left eye. You would never know. She does everything the otehr dogs do (and she is the Alpha dog). If the dog was completely blind it would be more of a challenge (but still not insurmountable) but one eye is nothing. You won't even notice.

So, Ms. Enabler, what are you saying? That I should take Keating? I kneeeew it!!!

I guess the problem is, that since it happened at such an early age the eyeball will not "grow" as much as the other will. If you look closely on the picture, you can see a difference.

What I am saying, is, the breeder had him sold and is losing quite a bit of money because I screwed up. Can he find a home? I am sure he will! I just keep thinking, I am responsible for this, I should be the one sticking up.

Does this make any sense?

Well, I just took a look at Keating's photo, and he's so cute I can hardly stand it.

And just as a side note, my dog, Brandy, has some vision problems and gets along fine. She managed to scratch her cornea a few years back and it got infected. We went through a whole series of medications before it healed - for some reason, her body was very resistant. And some of the medicines were pretty harsh. I'm almost certain they caused more damage than the actual injury. And hey, I'm practically one-eyed myself - very bad vision in the left eye. So the three of us would make quite a family! :7

Thanks, Karin!!! I just feel like a proud parent with those puppies. Although, I have to say, I never was quite as "enthusistic" with pix of my kids. DH keeps saying that my dogs are more important to me than he and the kids. The other day, he said, "Honey, do you realize we have more dog food in the freezer and the fridge than people food". I think he exaggerates but I admit that those dogs are a HUGE part of my life. I have never experienced as much love and loyalty from ANYONE, I grew up with dogs and have owned dogs for the majority of my life and I liked them all, but those Mini Aussies just have a very special place in my heart.

Shannon, it sounds like a match made in heaven between the one-eyed Shannon, Brandy and possibly Keating :)

I haven't heard anything from Kathy yet, I left a message for her about 45 min ago. I will keep you posted.

If I didn't have a "mexican jumping bean" toddler, I'd be all over those adorable pooches.
