Pullups/Chinups Anyone?

You can squat heavier with it because you don't have to lift the wt over your head. You set the upper pins at shoulder ht and get under the wt. Plus you can position the lower pins so that you can abort the move if it gets to heavy. You can slide a bench in and do your bench pressing with the same saftey features.

Oh, and see that bar across the top? perfect for chinups :7 Some cages even have padded chinup bars.

OH IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL CATHERINE!!!!! My cage has slightly angled hand grips for wide pullups - but what makes me crazy is that they are built for men. My wide pulls should be slightly closer together!!!! Why do they make them for men - men don't work out!!!!!

So Joanne - my fellow runner - let us know how you do in the race. I used to hate running because I put WAY too much pressure on myself. Since I decided to walk/stop whenever I want - I rarely do. I think my intensity streak just left me exhausted and I'm finally dealing with workouts blending with life now. I'm rarely missing workouts...FINALLY. Although weights are REALLY lacking right now!! Cathe should be able to help me out in that area SOON!

I've been meaning to say that I'm feeling severely lacking...you guys both have cool pix with Cathe!!!!! And their so cute!

Briee

Catherine-thanks for the picture of the cage. It looks pretty cool.

Briee-Do you have any of the Cardio Coach workouts. I have about 4 of them and love them. I have never used them on a treadmill (I have a really hard time running on a treadmill) but they work great for me outside.

Joanne

Thank you for mentioning that Joanne. I am trying to do Fitfreaks weight workouts and I notice she always uses cardio coaches with her treadmill on cardio days. Can you explain how they work? Thanks a bunch.

Briee

Cardio Coach has great motivating music. Coach Sean guides you with some steady state running and also interval challenges. He doesn't talk all the time which is nice too although he has a really nice voice. I have volume 3, 4, 5 and 6 and I really don't have a favorite-I love them all. I'm probably going to buy 1 and 2.

HTH.

Hi Catherine-

Today, I did MM biceps and triceps and legs. Also, did some light cardio and abs. I worked a little on my chins later in the day.

Did you get your new workouts yet? I am suppose to get mine tomorrow so hopefully tomorrow night I can fit one in.

Joanne

Hey Joanne!! I got my new workouts on Wed. Alas, no time to do them yet. I have been peaking at them some though. I had planned on coming home from work yesterday and doing the upper body premix. But I was just way tooooooooooooo tired. I am hoping to do some of the upper body and maybe one of the step routines today!!

Briee, still running? still yogaing :+

Sooooooooooooosan, we miss you!!

This morning I did the Back & Biceps premix and the Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps premix. My upper body is fried. We got new windows yesterday. So I have been busy washing windows and curtains, etc. This evening I found a burst of energy and did Lower Intensity Step cardio premix. This was so much fun. Of course I'll have to practice to get the moves down. Joanne, had some of the moves from the RT step class. It brought back such memories ahhhhhhhhhhhh,....

I've done High Intensity Step with back and chest. It is very fun and I love the music. Tomorrow, I am going to do either the boot camp or LIS.
