Protien After Working Out

Ok, gals...I need a wuick answer!

I know you're supposed to have a bit of protien after working out, especially after weight training...This is something I've been doing for years...My question is, directly after? Or should I be waiting 20 minutes to a half hour???

Working out is kind of an appitite curber (is that a word??) for me, so I usually wait 'till after my shower (about a half hour later)...

I think everyone is a little different when the hunger strikes. Some days for me it is directly after, sometimes I shower first and then eat. Some days I am starved all day after a workout, and some not so much. I think it's really what works for you, but a general rule of thumb is try to eat every three hours or so & include a protein and some sort of complex carb.

When I was working out my hardest (doing a P90X rotation), I would have a protein/carb recovery drink right after my workouts.
 
I think it depends on when you can stomach it and how long you want to stand around in sweaty gear.
