I have a question regarding protein intake. I currently get the recommended daily requirement of protein around 55 to 60 grams from a variety of food sources. I usually work out 6 to 8 hours a week doing both cardio and weight workouts. Is the daily requirement of protein enough or do I need to consume more protein?
 
It should be sufficient. If you work out enough to increase your calorie intake, then your protein intake should automatically go up from there as you need it.
