Protein powder in pancakes?

My son loves pancakes and hates protein. Can I put protein powder in his pancakes without him noticing? How do I modify the recipe? Thanks

How old is he? When you say he hates protein, what exactly do you mean? He doesn't get protein from ANY natural sources? I balk at giving protein powder to kids, for some reason.

One of our local restaurants has awesome pancakes and they make them with Krusteaz (sp) pancake mix and add tofu. You can not taste the tofu. Maybe you could try that?

Here is one-replace Splenda with regular sweetener if you don't like it.

1 cup Old Fashioned Oatmeal
1 cup of Cottage Cheese
6 Egg Whites
1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
1 TBSP Cinnamon
1.5 TBSP Splenda

Mix all ingrediants in blender for 1-2 minutes. Pour over heated non stick pan and cook. This makes 2 servings (about 4 large pancakes).

Hello,

I added one scoop of vanilla flavored protein powder to the pancake mix and thin sliced banana, and mini chocolate chips. It is my DD’s absolute favorite pancake. She does not use the maple syrup since the protein powder and chocolate chips gave enough sweetness to the pancakes.

I tried with two scoops one time but it changed to texture and did not taste like I was eating pancake.

Hope this helped.:)

He is 13, soon to be 14. Only likes chicken and eggs and only in moderation. Does not like beans, tofu, red meat, pork, etc. Go figure. My older son eats everything under the sun.
