Protein intake

I'm new to this forum and enjoy reading all the post. I'm reading alot about eating clean. I'm also reading that calories shouldn't be important if I'm eating the right food at the right time. This will be VERY hard for me since I'm use to counting every calorie that I take in. I was wondering how much protein should I be eating daily. I've been doing the 4 day split and 1 day of cardio and 1 day of total body, the old FIRM for Susan Harris which means I work out 6 days per week. Thanks for any input.

How tall are you, how much do you weight, and how heavy are you lifting?

I try to keep my protein intake between 70 and 80 grams per day...
 
I'm 5'6" and weigh 144. As far as how heavy am I lifting, I just pretty much started the 4 day split so not so heavy. Today when I did my shoulders the most I did was 12lbs and as far as squats and lunges I do about 40lbs (barbell) Thanks!
