Probably a dumb question, or I know the answer........

before even asking it but here goes........ I have been doing weights only for the last 8 weeks or so, I do do one cardio per week usually. I do 3 days a week weights and I mix up the workouts that I do. I do total upper body 3 days with lower body 1 day and cardio 1 day with weights also. Question: Am I still getting a good muscle workout even if I don't feel DOMS anymore? I even bought Muscle Max to change things a bit and bought resistance bands for an added change. Still nothing in the DOMS department. I upped the weight that I use to try and surprise the muscle and again nothing.

This method has allowed me to lose some weight which is a good thing but I still miss the DOMS I once felt regularly.

Also after taking a training class in defensive tactics (getting out of holds and therapuetic holds and take downs) at work, I really think I have become stronger than I realize that I am, in that I can hurt someone if I am not aware of my strength. Has anybody else noticed this?
