preworkout drinks

I am training gor half marathon and have been feeling fatigued on some of my runs. Do any of you use a preworkout drink and if so what? I need something to help with energy.
 
I don't do a pre-workout drink, but eat an energy gel every 3.5-4 miles on runs of 8 miles or longer (along with water).
 
I have tried the Hammer Nutrition Perpeteum and Hammer Head Sports Drink. I like both of them. The perpeteum is for workouts longer than 2 hours or ultra races.

I also use GU gels.
 
I've tried most of the gels. GU and Hammer Gels are my favorites. My husband also drinks Heed sometimes on long runs.
