Just curious to know how often you all choose the premixes on Cathe's dvds as opposed to doing the workout as is? I seem to always just do it as is.
 
4DS premixes

I was actually just coming on here to post about a premix. I usually do the workouts as is too, except for LIC, I love love the cardio only premix and do that often. Today my rotation called for a circuit I didn't have so I decided to try a 4DS circuit split and LOVED it, it was about an hour long and mixed the high impact step cardio with the upper body weights and even had abs. I will definately do this one again and try out the others. I really appreciate how Cathe ads on the premixes and have decided to try more out, it was a great surprise this morning how much I enjoyed it!
 
Pre-mixes

Depending on time I will use the pre-mixes, esp. on intensity during the work week it's just too long. You will still get a great workout, because there are several pre-mixes to choose from.
 
I use premixes all the time. I like to mix things up. Also, I'm not up to doing all the blasts on some of the tougher workouts like Imax 3. I even use some of the MMA discs as sections even though they don't really have premixes. I will use the cardio section, do a run, then the abs/cool down. Its a 90 minute workout but I don't have to worry about missing a body part when it comes to the stretch. This is fun with the boxing disc because it combines upper body low impact work with a lower body hill workout.

I love the cardio only premix on CW, LIC and I do the 4DS double cardio premixes 1x/a month.

I'm not a fan of circuit workouts, so I often use premixes to just to the cardio from those. I'll also use premixes to rearrange the workout. This morning I did Low Max and I used the premixes to do the step combos only and then I followed that up with the blast only premix. There's also a premix on Butts & Guts that I prefer to the full workout, but the title of that escapes me at the moment.
 
I mostly do the workouts as is 85% of the time, but do use the cardio only premixes esp on body max 2 etc;)
 
The premixes are great for mastering the step combos and cardio blasts in pieces without getting frustrated. With Cathe's various premixes, you can master portions of the complete DVD workout over time and eventually do the complete workout.

However, I still can't get through IMAX2 though. :eek:
 
On Cathe's more recent workout (BodyMax 2 and later), I will often do premixes more than the workouts presented as-is.
 
I do a little bit of everything...work outs as produced, premixes and my own mish moshes or simply just not finishing a cardio work out for time's sake but not necessarily doing a premix-just stopping when I need to stop. :)
