pregnancy check in week of jan 1

Cathlete
hello everyone and happy new year!

today is one of those days i am just thrilled to be pregnant and feel great. i went shopping and bought some maternity shirts. can't wait to see a belly to wear them (instead my legs and butt are expanding - perhaps the baby is confused).

my workouts for the last week

sun - run 7 miles
mon - low max, 30 min strength
tues - 50 min eliptical, boot camp
weds - run 6mil, muscle endurance
thurs - run 6 mil, 20 min strenght
fri - run 6 mil
sat - eliptical 60 min, 45min strength class

hope you all are doing great and are resting up for the new tear

Morris - Don't worry before you know it you belly will be filling out. My belly literally popped in the 19th week. Really wasn't there and then bam over one weekend it showed up.

I'm also still impressed you are getting so much running in. I bet if running hasn't started bothering you that you will be able to run for most of your pregnancy.

My workout week - I would have liked one more workout day in the mix, but it is okay

Sun. - Rest
Mon. Crazy insane circuit training class with instructer I'm terrified to go back to because she has way to much energy and bounce - This class was close to 90 minutes of insanity
Tues - Rest day - my legs were lead from the class the day before
Weds Circuit training class
Thurs Spinning class
Fri Had all the intentions of working out but then went crazy cleaning/organizing/giving stuff away in the house. It was refreshing to purge so much
Sat Firm tape again I never remember the names of these tapes

Morris--your workouts are incredible--How far are you again?

Tuvak--your workouts look pretty good as well. A 90 min crazy circuit class?

I feel so old. I had a lot more pep when I had my first child at 26. Definitely feeling this one more at 37.

Okay, so last night I thought that maybe I was in labor to the point where I called L&D to see whether I should come in or not. The poor little nurse on the phone who sounded about 18 didn't know what to tell me, so, I decided to drink lots of water, take a warm bath and wait and yes, the contractions did subside. I have never had a false labor before.

Anyhoo, I'm also suffering from some nausea, which sort of feels like morning sickness, but not as intense. I have never had this happen either, but ob says its because she's so high and my stomach is squished.

My workouts for the week
Mon-GS CT timesaver+Low Max step only (1-6, skipped 7)
Tues-50 min stationary bike intervals
Wed-IMAX 2 leg work with 30 lb barbell instead of blasts option
Thurs-rest
Fri-GS BSB timesaver+SJP step only
Sat-Body Fusion with leg work with 30 lb barbell instead of the weight stuff that Cathe does

And with that, my body said enough time to rest for labor and delivery. I will not workout again until I am about 2-3 weeks PP, if my body allows.

I will spend time making workout sheets for my planned post partum rotations. I cannot wait to begin the long road to getting my body back--AGAIN
:p :p :p

I hope to hear from the rest of you ladies and hope that all is going well.

Maggie, wow, using a 30 pound barbell. I bet that little one is coming soon.
Tuvak, Morris, great workouts.

Here I am at week 18 and I definitely look pregnant and fill out my old navy maternity clothes. My weight is mostly belly which is how I was with my first.

I had a poor workout week due to the stomache bug. I dragged most of the week.

Sun-firm-tortoise plus firm time crunch
Mon-throwing up and sleeping.
Tues-still dead to the world
Wed-firm-max. cardio burn
Thurs-firm-supercharged sculpting+ firm calorie killer
Fri-finally felt human-wedding tape-cardio
Sat-cardio and weights

Maggie - Good luck on the baby coming soon

I think it is really interesting on how different everyon is. I can make it through a 90 minute circuit class but I can't lift a 30 lb barbell - Heck I can barely get our laundry downstairs. For whatever reason very early on when I lift thing bulky or over 15 pounds I get a pulling feeling in the right side of abs. So DH kindly carries laundry up and down the stairs aand with grocery shopping I need a zillion bags.

Great workout weeks from everyone else.

maggie - you are so close. i feel like i am on bated breath waiting with you! odd how you have a false alarm on number 6. maybe you will go early. i am still very new in - 15 weeks. but i must say, i love feeling good again. so very nice.

tuvak - when you do a spin class, do you adjust your bike differently? and this may not be an issue for you, but i tend to sweat, A LOT. do you get overheated at all? i th8ink that is why i like running so much in this cold cold weather. not a chance i can overheat.

Morris - The club I belong to is pretty high intensity and everyone sweats tons and tons. They have bags to put your wet clothes into after a workout. This may be TMI for ya but after a 75 minute class which is the length of all the classes I usually look like I just got out of a pool.

If I feel myself getting hot in class - I'll step out for a minute or two or I'll side step for a bit. I do this maybe 3 or 4 times in a class. About 5-10 minutes out of the whole class

During spinning - I'm just putting the handle bars up much higher then I normally would and again if I get overheated I just soft spin for a bit. About 5 minutes out of the whole class.

Hi everyone--

I'm almost at 4 cm, so hopefully I will go soon. The doc said that if I have any hard contractions (like what happened sat night), I am to come in right away, not wait until I see if I am in true labor.

I'm a woman on the edge.

Maggie,

I hope the rest of your labor is swift and uncomplicated. I look forward to reading about the newest member of your family!

Maggie, my jeans are squeezing on a little better now...but not good enough to walk in. Remember, you have to keep that babe in until I look decent in my jeans. }( }(

Melanie--you are too wicked}( :p }( . It looks like she is taking you seriously. I had another false alarm last night and almost lost it. (my mind, that is) The truth of the matter is, I want to go naturally and not be induced, but on the other hand, I just could not do this false labor thing for another week. It's somewhat painful and NOTHING gets done. I have never had this happen to me before. Every pregnancy/labor has been really different.

Maybe I should have kept working out this week, instead of resting up for labor.....

Maggie
due 1 day, 15 hours, 3 min
otherwise
induced in 70 hours

Maggie, won't you consider stating your seconds?!?!? Hee hee. KPC induced labor with Justin...
