Hi to all you other mommies to be. We are here waiting for a blizzard.
I am feeling good. Doctor says I am measuring on track. Last time around my daughter measured small. I gained 4 pounds in the month which is perfect according to the nurse. Hard to believe I am 24 weeks already. I definely look pregnant now!

My humor of the week.... Asked my 2.6 year old if she wanted a baby sister. She politely answered, "no thank you".

Workouts:
Sun-Franny b.-all out step+ low impact seg. from sharon m.-the works. +basic training seg. from 10 min. sol. with Keli R.
Mon-Musclemax+get ripped triceps,shoulders
Tues-step this way-kristen k.
Wed-cardio and weights+bootcamp upper premix
Thurs-step this way 2
Fri-Bodyfusion +upper/lower premix from high step adv.
Sat-35 min. of tae bo cardio circuit 2+ seg. 1 from hi/lo heaven

That is so funny!! My little guy wants nothing to do with his little brother either. My doctors said that I should take it easy(partial placenta previa) but I need to do something for my sanity, so...

sun:2 mile walk
mon:2 mile walk
wed:1.5 mile walk

Next week I go back to see if the placenta moved and HOPEFULLY I will get the ok again. I have gained 6 pounds this month and the funny thing is that I dont really eat too bad, I guess my body knows what it is doing. Keep up the great work!!

Mary, I hope you get the ok to resume your regular workouts soon. My guess is you've gained minimally up to this point so your body needed the extra 6 pounds. I do feel I am gaining more this time around, including my thighs this time. Oh well, I am not overeating so like you, I feel my body knows what it needs.

weight gain is such a weird thing. i think we all get so focused on not gaining weigth normally. then you are pregnant, and not only don't you lose weight, you gain it too. i get frustrated though by the fact my thighs and butt are expending faster than my waistline. i know i exercise, more than lots of non-pregnant people. and i eat pretty well. perhaps more than i normally do, but i am hungrier. i must say though, i am struggling a tiny bit that the weight is not only in my belly. but you both put it well - it must be what my body needs. and if my body doesn't need it, i will get rid of it after baby. i hope. but i am definately not like all of you that only put on 5 lbs the first 20 wks. i am up by 15 and am only at 21 weeks. kind of freaks me out.

i gave up running this week. one day after a run last week i had trouble walking due to back pain. this week i haven't run at all and my back feels fine. oh well. must make some changes. i think that means i will have to search out a new dvd (other than low max and imax 2). any car4dio suggestions?

sun - spin class, boot camp
mon - lo max, 30 min weights
tues imax 2, cardio and weights step only
weds - 60 min eliptical, musc endurance
thurs - spin class, 30 min strength
fri - low max
sat - imax 2, cardio and wts step only, 30 min strength

Morris, you sound like me. I am eating fairly well and exercising daily but am up 17 pounds at week 24. With my first pregnancy, I gained minimal in my thighs but this time I see my thighs enlarging which frustrates me but the books do say the body puts on fat in the thighs for breastfeeding later on.

Ladies this should make you feel better...22 lbs. and 23 weeks pregnant. The funny thing is that I gained the same way with my ds. The good news with my ds was that I lost 26lbs. 6 days after I had him. My dr.s have not commented on my weight gain but than again I am 6ft tall so I really dont look heavy. Oh well, there are so many things in life to really worry about, this just is not one of them!!

Okay you all!!! Who cares, we're going to LOSE ALL that weight after!
I'm doing much better this time around but with Hannah I gained 45 POUNDS on lil ol me. And I shed it all and then some from doing cathe and then when Hannah was 7 months I became prego again and only gained 1 pound in the first tri, but I've put three more on since then. I eat good and I indulge as well (kinda how I always am).

Hannah is crawling on her feet this morning! Yeah, maybe she'll walk very soon. I find out what #2 is on the 28th:D

Mon- LoMax
Tues- LoMax
Wed- 4.5 Mile walk
Thurs.- LoMax
Fri.- LoMax, dropped down to 6 inches:-( but felt better on my lower abs and breathing!
Sat.- Off
Sun.- Small hike

Happy week everyone!!

I'm trying to concentrate on staying active and not worrying about the scale, but it sure is tough!! I'm almost 22 weeks about up about 11 pounds - but it's hard to tell exactly because my home scale measures heavier than the doctor's scale. I caught a side view of myself when I was walking past some windows today, and did a double-take. I definitely "look" pregnant now!!

Here's my week last week:

Sun: Rest Day
Mon: 30 min jog; Cathe's SJP (Step and Hi-Lo Only)
Tues: Hardcore Extreme, High and Low Intervals
Wed: 30 min jog, TLT Endurance for Movement
Thurs: Low Max
Friday: 30 min jog, Firm Upper Body
Sat: Charlene Pricket Crosstrain (step portion only), Thighs of Steel

I am 21 weeks and up 7.5 pounds. I am doing better than last pregnancy but not by much. I gained it all at the end last time. I gained a total of 39 with my first. I really have to watch this second half so it doesn't get that bad again.

I was absolutely exhausted all weekend! Not sure why. Felt great again today.(Monday)

Sunday - 30 minutes Cycle Max/Kick Drills from KickMax
Monday - 30 minutes LowMax Blasts/warm up/stretch
Wednesday - 30 minutes Imax3/no blasts
Thursday - 1 hour MuscleMax
Saturday - 20 minute StretchMax

Hi everyone,
Mary, I bet you are showing less than me. On my petite frame, there is no where for the preggo weight to hide.
Morris, My video recommendations are : cathe-basic step/body fusion, lowmax, the wedding tape, stepheat. I also do well with my firms during pregnancy as well as Gay Gasper's workouts.
Rachel, it sounds like you are doing well weightwise.
Curly, wow, you'll have your hands full. How far apart will the kids be?

HI! They'll be 16 months apart. I'm so excited. I did it purposely, I wanted them to be superclose in age. It'll be a blast, and yes busy;-)
Like you my frame is small, it's all going to my belly right now and I swear I look 7 months prego!!!! Oh well, once again, I'll just embrace it. But on us small frames it starts getting uncomfortable early. I'm not looking forward to the last 2 months:eek:

Feel good everyone, off to do LOMAX:p

I haven't posted in a really long time -
But as far as weight gain goes - I was doing really well the first tri - gained 4 pounds - Then bam in the 2nd tri I have gained lots of weight -
I thinkk at 7 months I'm now up to 22 pounds with basically 17 of that happening in 3 months. I'm hoping it slows down but I'm not going to stress to much about it - I eat healthy and am working out so there is not much more I can do about it.
