I can't believe I'm the second one to post.
I woke up to a dead computer. I was somehow able to restore it using some mysterious process I don't fully understand, so if I quit posting altogether, it might not be the baby, it might be a dead computer. I can't stand the thought of being without the computer
.
I've been getting up in the middle of the night and doing algebra the last 2 nights and then going back to bed. At least the neighbors have been quiet.
We have a wedding to go to today and it's going to be over 100 and I am not a heat person, even when I'm not pregnant. I have nothing to wear but jeans. A dress that looked adorable in earlier pregnancy, now looks awful, with my big boobs and enormous belly--so big the front of the dress lifts up. Couple that with flip-flops and I really look like, well, white trash. I hate to say it, but there it is....
.
I had some rather painful contractions last night, so I packed a bag--that will probably delay labor. Actually, with the full moon this weekend, I would rather wait anyway--the birthing center is probably really crowded and I don't want to get stuck in a lousy room
. Picky, picky.
+++++
Kate--I hope you and dh have made up. I think it's miserable to be angry. We both do, so we try to work things out quickly when they arise. And hey, if anyone on this check in can afford to eat pancakes--you can. Enjoy
.
Candra--Sonlight Electric--that's cool
.
Susan--I hope your foot is feeling better. I hate dealing with injuries. Did they give you a time line for when it might heal up?
Jen--I have high cholesterol naturally. I haven't had it tested in 5 years, but then it was 270. It's been getting higher over the years. It is congenital and I know they'll want to medicate me, which I will refuse, not liking the looks of the side effects. I hear you on the lower back pain.
Melanie--Good job on the weight loss. I hope you get the drug test thing straightened out. Keep us posted on how it's all going.
Mikki--sorry about the illness at your house and for the heads up about MRSA (did I get those initials right?). Our oldest son wrestles and I worry about what he could pick up in the locker room/wrestling mats--they wash everything down daily with bleach and he's a boy who loves his showers, but still--that's a SCARY disease.
Jenm--sorry the testing didn't go the way you wanted. Your baby is probably fine. As far as the thyroid, I think that it won't pose a problem for you as long as you are getting it treated. And for the rh neg/pos thing, I think they just give you a medication at some point. Follow Kate's advice and post a separate thread on it and I think you'll get a lot of reassurance.
Hi everyone else!
