Has anyone tried this? I really need to clean up my eating and lose some weight( about 15lbs) I've been regular with my workouts , usually six days a week and still have managed to gain weight! I've been reading "Outsmarting the Middleage Fat Cell" and I'm starting to wonder if a lifetime of calorie restriction and dieting has not backfired!(I'm 41 going on 42) I was thinking of trying this but I'm unsure about the price tag, any reviews out there? Thx

I have been debating on ordering this progeam as well. I have heard good things about it. It is $97 plus another $40 for the Volume 2 cookbook. plus shipping.
I am holding off as I just picked up "Clean Eating" by Tosca Reno.
I will read through that and try to implement her suggestions first.
You might want to check out her books, they are cheeper and you can look at them at a book store to see if you like it and what it is all about.

Let me know if you order it and how it is.

I can't really help you, but I did just order it. It comes out next week I think. I am hoping it is good. The people on this forum that have it seem to like it alot. In fact I think one of the posters is on pictured on the website, 'M'. She looks awesome. I need alot of help on my diet. Although I do kinda know what to eat, but I seem to be unmotivated to cut out the sugar and fat. I am hoping that STS and PN will light the fire under my butt, to get me going!! I need to lose about 25 lbs. (It was 17 before the holidays-LOL)

If I paid enough maybe I'd stick to it, my eating is way off course now but I'm trying to get back on track. I have to be careful of the late nite snack attacks!!!!

I'm making great progress on my own, just using SparkPeople.com to tabulate what I'm eating, based on Precision Nutrition founder John Berardi's principles. But the only reason I haven't bought PN and the Volume II cookbook is because I know I couldn't afford to buy all the recipe ingredients to REALLY follow it right now. However, at the end of March, when I should be able to swing it, I'm getting the program, the cookbook... everything. If you go to the PN website and dig around you can subscribe to a short course which consists of very helpful diet coaching emails that will give you an idea about how the program works. You can also get a kind of guest pass to members-only areas of the PN site, including the forums (those people aren't choking down chicken breasts and egg whites, that's for sure) and exercise videos which show proper form for every conceivable move.

I salivate just thinking how much better I'd eat if I could get my paws on those recipes everyone over there talks about. If I could do it right now I would. And I can't wait until I can.

Chrissy, let us know what you think when you get it. Did you also order the new cookbook for the extra $40 volume 2?

Mary

no, i didn't order the extra cookbook. I will see how the rest of the program is first. If I really like it then I will order it.

A lot of the figure athletes on other forums use PN.
It is an excellent program and simple to follow.

The basic one size fits all plan is this:
