Prayers for family of 8 year old in NYC

Thoughts and prayers out to the family whom lost their 8 year old boy to some crazed murderer.
The news reports that the neighborhood has their own security whom printed the flyers of the missing boy before police even knew about it.
The family practiced the route for two weeks before so he could walk home on his own.
Close to my heart because I am an adventurer and I would always ask my Mom if I could ride outside of the subdivision even though the township was safe but always a risk because so close to Detroit.

Many prayers for this family! This story absolutely breaks my heart. I heard this morning the family still doesn't know the horrific details about what that sick man did to him. They'll need many, many prayers lifted up for them in the coming days.

Big tiime prayers indeed! I have an eight year old son so this kind of thing scares the crap out of me! We also live in a very safe neighborhood with private security patrol, but I still keep a very close eye on him. We also have predators of the four-legged kind around year, Mountain Lions, Coyetes and Bears, Oh my!!! I feel very blessed that our neighbors are all very diligent in keeping an eye on each other and our children. But I still don't like the idea of him walking to his friends houses.
