Hi Mommies!
How is everyone? How are your babies?

Things are going well for me. Ryan is doing great, really starting to get the longer blocks of sleep at night and very sweet natured. I feel like I'm somewhat settling into a routine with 3 kids and it's a great feeling. The weather finally warmed up here, so we've all been able to get out more which has been wonderful. We'll start up our family walks again which we all love.

Weight loss is still going, slowly but surely. I'm now 9lbs from my goal weight and feeling stronger overall. My cardiovascular strength has really improved, so now I'm going to try to go heavier on my weights for strength training and continue to strengthen my core. Really trying hard to eat 5 fruits and 5 veggies, and doing decent (not perfect, but getting better).

Here's what I did last week:
Monday – Cathe F. Low Impact Step (40 min)
Tuesday – 10 Min Solution Fitness Ball (40min)
Wednesday – Gin Miller Simply Step (60min)
Thursday – Rest Day
Friday – Firm Ultimate Fat Burning (45min)
Saturday – Rest Day
Sunday – Elliptical intervals (20min) + Postnatal Corework (20min)

Hope you are all well and are able to post a bit this week:) Take care!

Hi Moms!:) :)

How is everyone and their babies? We are doing good here. Still waking up during the night to feed but thats all I can do about that!x( He does go to bed earlier now though. Around 7:30-8 he goes down so his feding feel like more even though if he were awake he would still be eating. It gives me a great chance to do somethings in the evening though, like last night I did housework. But we have to tell the inlaws to come earlier now to see him b/c last week they came and decided to wake him!x( x( x( Dh wasn't home and I didn't say anything to them but Rylans non stop screaming for 45 mins let them know that is wasn't o.k to pick me up just b/c I have one eye open!

He is starting to laugh now and last night he found hs thumb! He still hasn't got then hang of it though and it was just by fluke last night that he knew what to do with the rest of his hand. Last week he weighed 13 lbs 13 oz! He is getting a big boy!

My weight loss as slowed down, but I only have 2-3 lbs left to lose. I should be able to lose it in the next couple of weeks if i watch what I eat. I haven't been following WW's to a "T" but more as a guideline. Im sure if I were super good, it would have been gone by now. Also bought a new stroller, so I think we will be doing alot of walking in the near future!

This is my workouts from last week:

Sun: OFF
Mon: Muscle Max/ 7 mile run
Tue: #2 HC Extremem DVD
Wed: Push Pull/ 4 mile run
Thur: OFF
Fri: 5 mile run
Sat: 4 Mile run

We also went to visit my brother this past weekend who lives 4 hours away and Rylan was really good during the drive. You never know with a baby what will happen! My brother just bought a new TM so I ran at his house on Sat and Sun and it was a really nice TM.It had incline which mine doesn't so my legs got as great workout!

Stacy, sounds like you have it all under control! Im thinking of having another one...not yet though:eek: I just hate being preggo but its only 9 monthes out of my life where I have to feel miserable...not much for the pay off:) Actually, more like 8 monthes cause the first month you don't know your preggo:)
Have a good week everyone!

Good morning mommies,

I am not doing too good on my workouts. I worked out 4 times last week and with only one workout I felt like I really worked out :-( . I have no energy, I need to do more kegels because I can't jump or I have to run to the bathroom. I just don't feel right  . I really like to workout but on the other hand I don't, does that make sense. Anybody else feel like that?

I am not sure the order and days of my workouts, but here is what I did:

*TLT Strength in Movement
*KPC 2nd Premix
*DM Cardio only Premix (barely couldn't do that workout, too much jumping and my bladder didn't like it at all :-( )
*???

So yesterday I started the P90X Lean rotation (maybe that'll help to lose some weight), maybe that'll get me going again. I got P90X for my Birthday last year and I am eager to try it out. Not sure if I got enough energy for it, but we'll see.

Heidi is doing fine. But since a couple of days, I have trouble putting her to bed, she gets really fussy and cries like crazy, so it took us forever to finally get her to sleep. Also I need some advice how to get her on a good nap schedule, what are your suggestions. Do you put your baby into her/his crib to take his naps?

Other than that she is such a happy baby and likes to talk, smile and laugh all the time, it is so cute.

Alright, gotta go and take care of her.

Kristine :)

Kristine,I felt the same way when I first started working out again. When I jumped, it felt like I was peeing! It went away after a while though. Don't be to hard on yourself...just do what you can. A little is better then nothing, right?
I like working out more now then I did before. I guess I like the time to myself plus I don't have time to think about it or sit around the house putting it off. If I don't do it right away, it doesn't get done! So as soon as his eyes close for his nap,I start in.

He likes to nap every 2 hours but I am reading a book now that says you shouldn't let your child nap any later then 4 in the evening. You should also put them down awake so when they wake during the night they know how to put themselves back to sleep. So we really shouldn't nuse them or rock them to sleep, b/c when they wake they will need to be nursed or rocked back to sleep...but I know we can help it if they fall asleep while nursing.
Hope I helped a little!

Hello!
Lori, that is so great you are so close to your goal weight!! Wow, you did that fast. I only have 9lbs. to go, and it's going pretty slowly:( That's also good that Rylan is going to bed a bit earlier, he really will fall into a good schedule for you and not be waking up as much at night. It just takes time and patience, and it's also different for each baby I think. What kind of jogger did you get? I love mine, even though it's nearly 6yrs old:) It's gotten good use and I'm excited to get Ryan in it this summer. Very cool you want to have another one someday, I am very happy with my 3:) This will be all for us, and I'm feeling good about how I'm adjusting to having 3.

Kristine, hang in there!!! I swear, babies just have their off days/weeks and then they will be fine again with the sleeping. I've read/heard that travelling can mess up a babies "schedule", so it's possible that maybe Heidi is just adjusting to being back home and getting herself resettled. Just making a guess there, but I bet it's just a little phase. As far as napping, Ryan always sleeps in his crib and I did the same with my other kids when they were babies. It worked great for us, and they were great nappers. Nap schedules can be tricky, have you thought about tracking Heidi's naps for about a week to see if there is any pattern to them? That way, you can have an idea of when she'll be napping and sort of plan your schedule around that? Just a thought, and again, it's really all what you're comfortable with I think.

My little guy tends to take a couple of shorter (45min-hour) naps in the morning, then takes a longer one (hour and a half to two hours) in the afternoon. He then is up for a longer stretch in the late afternoon/evening and then goes to bed somewhere between 7:30-8:00pm. At some point babies seem to drop one of those naps and then they go to two naps a day, then drop to one, then drop them altogether. It really varies from baby to baby though as far as when they do all that and the duration of their naps. Hope this is making some sense and I'm not rambling on too much:) I tend to do that at the end of the day.

Okay, good luck with the sleeping. I'm still up for one feeding a night, but Ryan's going for much longer stretches now, so hopefully I'll start feeling less tired soon! Kristine, you're doing awesome with the workouts, so don't be hard on yourself!

Hi ladies,

Thank you so much for all your advice and reassurance, I really needed that!!!! ;) Just kinda fell in a whole and couldn't get myself out of it. I completed the second day of the P90X Lean rotation and I am feeling better already. Tomorrow will be weights and I am really looking forward to it. I love lifting weights!!! :7

Stacey - Thanks for all the tips on the napping, I will try to figure out her schedule a little bit. She used to take a nap in the morning after I fed her and she played for a while, but since I went to Germany she doesn't do that anymore, but she did today, so there is hope that she'll pick that nap up again. I also will try to put her in the crib for her naps, so she knows it's nap time. This is my first so I appreciate any input and help I can get. Thank you!!!

Lori - Your workouts are always awesome and you are such an inspiration. I am excited to do the P90X Lean Rotation, hopefully it'll get my weight loss going, I still have to loose almost 20 pounds  . But it'll get there.

Just put Heidi to bed and she is a little fussy, but I think she is almost asleep now.

Heading to bed myself now
Kristine :)

Stacy, even his napping is a little off. He use to have his biggest nap in the morning, which was great for me b/c I could tidy around the house and do my workout. Now, I tidy while he is awake and he usually wakes about 30 mins into my workout. But he is happy enough sitting in his swing and watching me...thank goodness:) Then he will have 2 more 30 min naps in the afternoon. Im hoping his naps will get a little longer as well.I know it takes patience! Not something I was even though:)
DH bought me some sort of jogger but its no good for his age. Then someone gave me a stroller that I am going to try, if its no good then Ill have to buy one. I think he is going to enjoy it outside this summer, most kids do.
The last few lbs were the hardest for me as well but if you don't get discouraged, it as no choice but to come off. Stick to your guns and keep the diet and exercise going and everything will work out!

Kristine, from what I have heard P90x will get you where you want to be. They are suppose to be tough! I want to get to 125 lbs. Which is 6 lbs away but my shape is a little different. My waist isn't back to normal yet and I don't have love handles but I have fat just above my butt, so when I walk around the house, with p.js on and I can see almost like a "shelf" going on back there! LOL But my thongs sort of divide the two. If I didn't where thongs, maybe it wouldn't be there....yeah, it would...I can grab fat:) LOL
