Hi mommies,

Well, what happened to everyone? I sure hope that we can get our group going again or is it maybe that at 10 1/2 months postpartum, we are not really postpartum anymore? Maybe we need to start a mommy check in at the check ins, what do you think? I sure like checking in with you all, so maybe everyone was just busy for Halloween.

Ok, but for now I will post here and I sure hope that some of you will still check in.

Here are my workouts from last week:

Mon: Muscle Max "Timesaver" Premix (56 Min) and SJP/Step Blast DVD "Weights and Step" Premix #23 (61 Min)

Tues: Cardio Fusion "Mixed Cardio" Premix (41.5 Min)
Wed: off

Thurs: Low Max "Step Combo's Only" Premix (44 min) Followed by "All 7 Blasts" Premix (23 Min)

Fri: Imax 2 "Blast Mania" Premix (41 Min) PLUS Core Max "Tough Core" Premix (18 Min)

Sat: OFF

Sun: B&G "Floorwork and Abs" Premix (49 Min)

So, now I am offically done with the May rotation and yesterday I started the Nov 4-day split rotation. So I did Higher Intensity Step and Back/Chest and I really liked the cardio portion, so much fun!!!

Other than that, Heidi has a little bit of a cold for the first time ever, but fortunately, she doesn't have no fever and is in a really good mood, just has a snotty nose, so I keep my fingers crossed. But I think she is getting me sick as well :-(. So I have to see if I will be able to get in my workout, but I sure will try.

Ok, ladies, sure hope to hear from you all very soon
Kristine :)

Hi Kristine and all the other mommies!

Well Kristine, I decided to move on over to the WW check in on the daily check in challenges section of the forum as it seems our postpartum group is dwindling. Also, since Ryan is 10months old, I figured maybe this would be a good time to switch to a different group. I'd love it if you wanted to continue to check in! Lori is on the WW check in and the reason I chose that forum is because I saw her name and was hoping to keep up with the mommies;) I'm not following weight watchers, but I am watching my weight:)

So, I have had a tough couple of weeks and very light workouts as all 3 of my kids have been sick and I finally caught something too. I do feel a bit better today, and am going to get back into working out tomorrow (feel like I need another day to get over my cough).

Glad Heidi is doing well and sorry she has a bit of a cold, it's no fun at all. Ryan is finally over his headcold and doing well. Hope to see you at the WW check in:)

I'm here!!

I hope the group keeps up or picks up. I've been a sporadic poster, but I really like coming here.

Kristine: Hope you and Heidi are feeling better. My son Sachin has been sick as well with his first cold. He's also in a good mood. It looks/sounds like he's going to choke on mucous but he just giggles away! Sweet babies we have, huh?? Lots of head congestion and he can't get anything out of his tiny, noisy nose. Poor little guy. Like you, I am feeling ill too lately. Your workouts were great! You have a lot to be proud of with all your effort.

I didn't post the last two weeks because I've been SO busy and also not feeling well--seasonal allergies/sinus/cold/flu shot reaction/whatever it is!

Last week I ran 2 days and went to a step class at my gym. No strength training, but I will hit that this week. Steppin' was great! The instructor, male, was loads of fun and it wasn't cliquey like my last gym. I haven't been to a step class in a year or longer, so it was a very nice change of scenery for my workouts. Wish you all could be, there too! What a blast that would be.

My weight aggravation update:

Down only 6 lbs. at 19 weeks postpartum, but some clothes are starting to fit. Well, only one piece, but still...I'll take one pair of "newly loose" jeans over my saggy baggy sweats! :)

I've not weighed myself in 2 weeks. I'm weighing myself only 1-2x/month. I feel like I might be a pound or two lighter than last weigh-in. Hope so. I just can't worry about it anymore. I'd like to be in better shape, like I have been my whole life, but oh well. I eat as best I can, I work out 3+ days a week (was working out 5 days/wk. until 2-3 weeks ago, but now I can't, and that didn't get me too far anyway) in the extremely limited time (long story!) and there just isn't any more time/room for improvement at this point in my life.

Somehow--time, continued effort, spiritual intervention, what have you!--I'll lose the remaining 15 lbs. I tell myself, "It's 15 lbs., not 150. You had a baby for heaven's sake! 15 is doable." I think it truly is just time taking its course and the body letting go of the fat stores on its own, at least in my case. I record food in an online journal and am still above average in being active. The eating/burning calories math behind it should be working but it's just not. I'm so glad to have found this step class to shake up my routines.
I hope to come here more regularly.

Good luck to everyone. I am off to have a glass of red wine and kiss my little man goodnight!

Au revoir!
Cathy

Oh, I'm here too! I have been reading the posts and just been really lazy about actually writing a post on here!

I do appreciate this post as well. I know I have a lot to regain in strength and lose in weight since baby, so I really do use you guys as encouragement to keep me focused and going.

I hope we can keep this going!

Hi, ladies!

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit either, but I'm still here. My workouts have been pretty non-existent. It seems that every time I put in a DVD, Ella needs attention. I think she's still pretty young to sit and entertain herself for a long time, and she doesn't really watch me when I workout. She's 9 weeks old now!!! Wow! I can't believe how fast it goes.

Because of this, I was browsing on Amazon, and bought Lose the Baby Fat and Lean Mommy to see what suggestions they had to workout WITH Ella. I also bought Itsy Bitsy Yoga so I can play with Ella using Yoga. Hee hee!

Well, the good thing is that Ella has been going to bed at 8:30 latey. Her wake up time is still kind of all over the place, but it SEEMS like she's trying to organize her daily schedule better. Whew!

Steph, on the Mommies-to-Be post, is getting real close to making her way over here. She's only a couple weeks away from the big date!
