Oops...we are late starting this week:eek: :)

How is everyone? We are pretty good here. You never know what the night is going to bring at my house so I just go to bed and not stress about it. He was up again last night 3 x's so I don't know if there is another growth spurt on the way! He went through one last Mon night so he can't possibly be going through another one!? And I wish he would keep the pacifer in his mouth! He still plays with it like he is a newborn and can't get the hang of it!x(

I mentioned to the nurse the other day that I didn't know how much milk I had. He seemed fine but my boobs were far from full. So I weighed him. He gained 10 oz last week!:) I was so happy to know that I did have lots of milk...he as just drinking it all:) So he know weighs 13 lbs 4oz.

I got some good workouts in last week but the scale didn't move. But it didn't go up either. I usually lose every second week but during that time, I will go up a little as well but I didn't go up last week. Really hoping to see 135 this week, then I will be 5 lbs from my pre preg weight.

Here are my workouts:

Sun: OFF
Mon: 7 mile run/ abs
Tues: CTX UB & KM
Wed: 5 mile run/200 walking lunges w/12 lbers/abs
Thurs: OFF
Fri: Gaulant from the terminator dvd/ 35 min walk in afternoon
Sat: 7 mile run/ abs /
Sun: 4 mile run

Stacy, Glad to hear Emma is doing better. Its so sad when they are sick b/c we really wish we could take their place. I have the cold again but really hoping DS won't catch it. This is the 3rd time I have had the cold since Dec and I never get sick. See what sleep deprivation does to ya?

Kristine, I hope you are enjoying your time at home. I bet ma and pa are really spoiling that baby of yours!

Have a good week everyone,
Lori:)

It's been a couple of months since I've posted. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Last week's workout included:

Mon: KPC/abs
Tues: Off
Wed: 2 mile walk/abs
Thurs: Off
Fri: Off
Sat: Low Max/Ab Hits #4

Take care everyone.

Trish

Good morning mommies!

Glad to see that everybody is doing well.

Heidi and I are doing great and we are having a wonderful time with my parents, they just love little Ms. Heidi.

My mom is really spoiling us and it feels great to just relax and not to have to get up at 6 am in the morning with my husband ;-) and to sleep in.

Heidi is developing so wonderfully! She now really can grab things and is holding on to them and waving them around. She always needs to hold onto something, so it can happen if you change her that she has a towel in her hand when you pick her up. If you lay her on her tummy she lifts her head all the way up and she stays there for about 30 sec, takes a short break and is back up again. If you put her on your lap, she always tries to sit up and even does sit and does that until she gets to tired and starts fussing. She also sleeps now 8-9 hours at night. She is amazing!!!

Well, I managed to get in one workout last week , I was trying to get over the jet lack and figured to just rest until I feel up to it again. But this week, I am back on track.

Ok, back to take care of Heidi.

Kristine :)

Hi Girls,

Trish, its nice to hear from you. Im glad things are going well and that you can get back into working out. Sometimes its the only way you can keep your sanity!

Kristine, I knew you would have a great time home.Im so jealous that Heidi is sleeping through the night. Is she bottle fed or breastfed? Im not getting much sleep here! Your mom and dad are gonna be so sad when you leave....I can only imagine how lonely they are going to feel and its not b/c you are gone....its the little one!:)

Last night wasn't a good night but I don't know any night that as been lately. He is up 2 x a night atleast, I don't know whats going on b/c he was only waking up once and I always felt great in the daytime but now this is starting to take its toll on me. I feel o.k for the first few days but later in the week I start to get really tired.
So this week I have the cold and I think he has it to. I am waiting for him to wake up to see if he really as it. Last night DH had him down my the wood stove and the dogs and he usually gets a little stuffed up after that so I don't know what he has.He ended up coughing last night and then throwing up some of his milk so then he only slept for 2 hours , after the next feeding we ended up in the red room and he has been sleeping in his swing! I think I am gonna move the swing into my room!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I know the sleepless nights will soon be over....or atleast I hope so!
Lori:)

Trish - Welcome back, sometimes it's hard to check in, the little ones can keep you pretty busy. ;) It's nice to get 6-8 hours of sleep at night, isn't it?

Lori - I am breastfeeding Heidi. My Dr. already said that it is not normal for breastfed babies to sleep that long that early, but that's what she does and I am really glad about it :) . I remember how it was at the beginning and wow, you are doing an amazing job, just hang in there it'll get better.
Yes, I am not looking forward to leave my parents, but I am looking forward to see my husband again ;) . They are never happy when I go back, but I am sure this time it'll be extremely hard for them. :(

Hi Everyone!
Sorry for the very late check in. I'm afraid we've had a terrible last week. My daughter ended up having appendicitis and her appendix ruptured this past weekend. She was in the hospital for several days, went through one surgery to drain an abscess that formed when her appendix burst, and is now on antibiotics for two weeks. She has an i.v. line in her arm and we'll administer her medicine at home. In two weeks, she'll go back in for a check up and have the i.v. line removed. In about 6 weeks, the appendix will be removed.

As you can imagine, this has been a very trying time for our family, but we are thrilled that Emma is now home with us and in her normal surroundings. She is a very brave and lucky little girl. If the abscess had not formed, the infectious material could have spilled out into her system and infected other vital organs. A ruptured appendix can result in a fatality if it spreads into the body.

So, not much in the way of workouts, but I did lose weight from stress, lack of sleep, and not eating much. We're back to trying to get proper nourishment and rest and we've had a lot of wonderful help from family with the kids through this. I hope to try and resume my workouts this weekend.

Okay, glad to hear you are all doing well and I'll post again next week.
Stacey

Ryan born 1/2/07
Emma born 4/27/03
Alex born 9/7/01

Stacey - So sorry to hear about Emma, but I'm happy to hear things turned out okay. I can only imagine how scary it must have been for your family.

Lori - I'm also breastfeeding and little Olivia slept for 11-1/2 hours last night!! I couldn't believe it and I was actually a little nervous. As Christine mentioned, it's kind of unheard of with breastfed babies. My 4 year old didn't sleep through the night until she was 7 months!!

Kristine - Is this the first time that your parents are meeting Heidi? I had forgotten that Olivia and Heidi were born on the same day :). Olivia is doing pretty much the same as Heidi - sitting up, grasping toys. Does Heidi try to stand when you hold her? If I hold Olivia at my shoulder while sitting she always puts her feet on my lap so that she can stand. I'm worried that it's too early for that and she may end up with bowed legs:eek:

I hope you all have a great weekend :)

Toodles,
Trish

Stacey - I am so sorry to hear about Emma being so sick. But I am glad she is back home and you all get to relax a little bit. Must be hard, especially because she is still so little!

Trish - Yes, they were born on the same day ;) , what time was Olivia born? Heidi was born at 7:38 pm. She pushes off with her legs when I have her at my shoulders sometimes. I think they are just trying to check out their legs and I don't think that you have to worry that she will be bow legged. Yes, this is the first time that my parents got to meet Heidi and they just adore her. It's their first grandchild :) .

Alright ladies, I am fixing to go to bed, it's already midnight here.

Kristine :)
