Hi to all you mommies,
Mel, wow, you are still thinking of having #4. 2 kids is plenty for me.
Kristi, how's the weight loss going? You have been doing great.
Morris, i am still amazed at your running so early. In terms of giving a bottle, I wouldn't worry about missing a feeding at night, your body will still produce enough. If hubby wants to give a bottle in the night, great. How long is your maternity leave?
Rachel, Linda, how are those new litle ones doing?
Mary, how is Andrew and big brother doing?

Asley is doing well and is up more. Unfortunately sometimes at night . She was awake crying one night from 12-3 am. Her acne is clearing though and her pretty features are now showing through. She is almost fitting into her 0-3 month clothes now. She mostly nurses but I do give her an occasional bottle of formula or breastmilk. Big sister is doing great with her.

I have about 4-5 pounds to go, mostly belly.

Workouts:
sun-PUB+bc upper
mon-terminator w/o 3+PLB stability ball
tues-SB+sjp abs
wed--walk to the park (1.6 miles each way) +viper+cw abs
thurs-interval express
Fri-tj 20 min. +bc/me premix
sat-pam cosmi's cardio sculpt+10 min. sol.

wed-walk to the park +interval express

Well, not much to report this week since I'm taking about two weeks off of exercise while I recover. I've started walking around a bit, but it will be a while until I'm ready for any impact - I didn't have an episiotomy, but I did have a second-degree tear so I'm letting my stitches get all healed up.

Baby Lincoln is a lot more work than I expected!! I guess nothing prepares you for the reality of feeding every hour or two (three at night, knock on wood!) Some days I feel like I'm just a pair of boobs on legs...I'm definitely looking forward to getting back to my workouts.

hope everyone is well. i can empathize with linda and shopaholic. sleep deprivation and lots of feeding going on here. finn is awake more and more these days, and yes, at night quite a bit. what is it about that 12-3 period? i am looking forward to dh starting a bottle in the late evening so i can get more than 2 hrs of continuous sleep. 3-4 sounds great. he is amazing though. growing fast - 2 week check up had him at 6.5 (birthweight was 5.4).

i am feeling great and really enjoying running. i cannot go as much or as far as i'd like. physically it is too hard, and scheduling it isn't practical. but, 3-4 days a week feels great. actually, all my workouts are fun without that extra weight!

sun - low max, abs
mon - run 3 mil, 30 min strength
tues - run 3.5 mil, abs
weds - kpc, legs and glutes
thurs - run 4 mil, abs
fri - step blast, muscle endurabnce
sat - run 5 mil, abs

tomorrow i am going shopping as i have decided i need 1 or 2 new summer things. it is nice to buy clothes for a non-pregnant body!

I did lowmax blasts at 8 inches the other day. I felt good afterward! Other than that I have just been walking.

We have been supplementing one feeding in the evening so I can sleep but on Fri. she started throwing it up. We went to the doctor and he had us switch to soy formula. She does fine with breast milk. The good news is she is gaining weight and is up to 8 lbs 10 oz. She will be 3 weeks on Tuesday.

She is still up every hour during the night. I feel the same way! Boobs on legs! My husband jokingly calls me the milk wagon. My doctor said I can soon start trying to make her wait longer between feedings as long as she is not crying.

Anyone have any ideas on how many calories to eat to lose weight while breastfeeding? I stopped losing weight about a week ago. I lost 21 lbs but have 12 to go. I would like to lose an additional 10 after that.

Rachel, according to a booklet I have: estimate your calorie needs by multiplying current weight by 15 and adding 500 calories. If you are active, adjust numbers accordingly. On this diet you should expect to lose a pound every 2-3 weeks. the min. amount of calories for a nursing mom is 1800 a day.
Linda, I too tear without an episotomy, so I took it easy the first 3 weeks.
Morris, how are you getting the energy for 2 workouts?

Hello ladies, hope everyone is well. I am suffering through the i dont want to go back to sleep at 5:00 am. Morris...I had to put andrew and jake in their bedrooms when they were 6 days old because of how loud they would grunt and groan, i would jump at every sound. andrew is doing so great , he is such a gentle soul. my 1st son would scream for everything(they said he was colic)but this one only screams when he is hungry. he is still weighing in at 14lbs. the other night i had to give him 11oz. of formula(i know this is a lot) but he just was not satisified. normally he has between 6-8 oz. every 3-4 hours. shopaholic..i know what you mean by her"pretty features" andrew is looking different everyday. He smiled last week for the 1st time and i almost melted. i love the 1st year so much. well down to business...

mon:basic step abs/upper body
tues:eek:ff had a 4th of july party
wed:lomax/abs lowerbody
thurs:stepblast/upperbody
fri:classic/step heat/abs lowerbody
sat:stepblast/abs

getting stronger!!!

f:) :)

oh i cannot wait for that first real smile. mary, i would love to see our boys next to each other. finn is less than half of andrew, i bet they'd be so cute next to each other! it is good to hear someone else has a grunter and groaner. i tried putting finn in his crib today for a nap - first time he isn't in my arms or in the bassinet. didn't go over so well, needless to say. we will work on it every day and hopefully he will be in his own bed soon.

rachel, that is great you found a formula that works. hopefully soon you can go a little longer between feedings. will you try a pacifier to soothe her?

Hi, just wanted to add that Ashley grunts and snorts all night. We say she sounds like a pug at night. We have dogsit a pug and know how they snore!

Mary, 11 ounces! I am lucky if 8 pound, a few ounces Ashley drinks 2 ounces.

Greetings new mommies. I don't know where my fellow "Fall 2005" moms went. I feel like Gus is the old man amongst the group.

Anyway, my kids are Kay (5), Audrey (3) and Gus (dob 10-29-05). I took Gus to the dr. yesterday for a laundry list of issues. He has his 4th right ear infection (the left has always been fine), his head tilts (not torticollis, maybe an eye issue or from the ear infections), and I scraped his foot between the stroller and a concrete wall while walking over a highway. Not a proud mom moment. Other than that, he's a happy guy. It seems every time we get close to sleeping through the night an ear infection derails the whole thing.

My milk suppply is low and we've starting giving formula twice a day. The same thing happened with my older kids. Not sure why, but it's fine with me.

My week:
Monday: 2 mile walk at lunch to meet husband for sushi, 1 hour at gym
Tuesday: off/Fourth of July, but walked a lot
Weds: kickbox bootcamp
Thurs: 4 mile run/run stairs
Fri: 3 mile run/walk; TImeSave #5, 1/2 mile swim with kickboard
Sat: nothing
Sun: 1/2 mile swim (easy)
