Hello Fit Mommies! I’m really surprised that I am starting us off this week. Actually I’m just as surprised that I’m checking in this early in the week.

I hope everyone had a wonderful week. This is the week that I plan to completely get back on track both with eating well and exercising so I can finish losing the last bit of weight I would like to lose. My goal is to try to have it gone by my niece’s birthday party Aug. 2. (This is the mom that said that gaining weight is what happens when you have babies. She is about 50 pounds overweight.) The only big obstacles I have are DS’s 4th birthday tomorrow with just us and then the big birthday party on Saturday with the rest of the family. The time has went by so quickly. I can’t believe he will be starting school next year (2007).

Here are my workouts from last week:

Monday – Ran 2 miles
Tuesday – walked all day around amusement park, no official workout
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday – Ran 4 miles
Friday - Rest
Saturday – Rest (went with my brother to pick up his DD at ex’s house, 6 hour round trip car ride)
Sunday – Ran 4 miles with kiddos in the baby jogger.

Waves to all the Mommies out there!

Kristi, good luck with your weight loss goal. How old are your kids now?

Hard to believe that Ashley is 1 month old already. She continues to get up about every 2-3 hours which was really hard last week as I got a bad cold. My toddler also has the cold so last week was challenging!
I have 6 pounds to lose but I think I now have the weight my body will hold onto until I wean her. I kept 5 pounds on while nursing dd#1. I have started increasing my workouts but until my 6 week check up am keeping the intensity down.

Sun-totallly cool step+TJ turbo sculpt
mon-TJ cardio party 1 +walk to the park(3.2 miles roundtrip with double stroller)
Tues-walk to the park+ a new dimension-workout c
Wed-walk to the park+ quickfit postnatal
Thurs-tae bo cardio live=power 90-cardio 3-4
Fri-power 90 circuit 3-4+TJ 20 min. plus a walk to the park
Sat-cardio collectibles-step +w/u and cooldown.

Shopaholic, your workouts put me to shame and you are still taking it easy. Way to go girl! Alexander will be 4 tomorrow and Annamarie is 9 months. Isn't Alexis 3? Maybe I'm making that up, but I thought I saw you post a little while back about her birthday. I hope you and Alexis feel better soon.

Just because I feel like I left my DD out in my original post I thought I would add that Annamarie just began crawling May 11 (seems late to me @ 8 months) but she is already pulling herself up to the standing position. I wonder if she will be walking earlier than DS. He didn't take his first steps until he was 11 months.

kristi, I believe Alexis didn't crawl until about 9 months, then walked at 16 months. She now runs everwhere! She turns 3 in sept.

My week:

Monday: 3.5 mile run with lots of stairs, then up 11 flights to my office
Tues- 1 hour cardio at gym
Weds- IMAX
Thurs- 2 mile run, "brand new butt" pilates
Fri- low impact step and sculpting

it doesn't look like a lot, but it was effective. My hips/butt ached all weekend. My run on Monday was intense- I had that "I was a glutton on vacation so I need to run harder" thing going.

have a great week.

Hi everyone! Mekhi is already a week old and to think, I thought he would never get here! He is such a blessing and just completes my life so much more! I have been walking around on cloud 9 since he got here!
Well, I don't know if its the breastfeeding or just being up and about but the weight is literally dropping off! It seems like I can see changes every day! DH says its because of all the Cathe workouts I did during my pregnancy! I had lost 14 pounds the day I left the hospital (tuesday) and when I weighed sunday had lost 7 more! I gained a total of 32 lbs (9 in the last two weeks!x( see why i was in a hurry???) and have lost 21 so 11 more to go and only been a week!
Monday- Mekhi born!!!!:D :7 :D
Tuesday- home
Wednesday- rest (hahaha)
Thursday- rest (hahaha)
Friday- walk (treadmill) 30 minutes, modified abs and push ups
Saturday- Modified abs and push ups, legs&glutes, walk 30 min.
Sunday- Treadmill (hills) 35 minutes, abs & push ups, chest & back

Feels good to be back on the workouts, but taking it easy! Hope you all have a great week!

Kristan,great job on the runs!
Heather, glad to see you on the other side! See we knew that little guy would come out. Too funny though that with the same due date our kids are 3 weeks apart. Great job on the exercise, but do take it easy! I too found the weight came off quickly at first unfortunately now the last 6 pounds on me don't want to leave.

Just a quick note to say my pg test was NEGATIVE. A little relief, a little sadness... God's in control. :)

I"m doing lots and lots of running.

Everyone's healthy and strong right now. Little Jadon gets shots tomorrow. He's a month behind for his 6 month check up b/c dr was on vacation.

Now there are THREE Jadon/Jadens!!! WOW!!!!

Glad to see all the new mommies. Welcome!

Melanie- great minds think alike!!! Love the name Jayden- mine and DH brothers are both named jason so we wanted something similiar but figured we had enough jasons, so Jayden it is! And we thought it was unique when we named him that, but now are hearing it everywhere!!!!
